CNN.com - New Batwoman is a lesbian - Jun 1, 2006
[For the kids: lesbians are women who fall in love with women instead of men.]
"Editor: 'We decided to give her a different point of view' "
Well, well, good old DC Comics (remember them?) is doing in a good series comic book. Now the Batwoman will emerge in July!
[Note: http://www.technorati.com/pop/ has my Batwoman blog first on their list right now, 11:55 CST. Thanks, guys.]
"The new Batwoman is "a more unique personality than others in the Bat-family," says a DC Comics editor. "
"NEW YORK (AP) -- Years after she first emerged from the Batcave, Batwoman is coming out of the closet."
I was not a Batman fan, but I just might have to see how this Batwoman goes. Will it be rated "R" or do comics even have ratings. We will have to see what the parent groups will be saying about all this.
Of course it will appeal to prurient interests. Will that let you and me out? I hope so, but still curious people don't necessary have those evil prurient interests.
My mother would flip over in her grave if she knew about this, most mothers would. Maybe my conscience will do the flip also if I were to get very interested, besides curiosity interests.
It should be cleaner than porn; my curiosity won't let me go there. I draw the limit because it demeans the value (no pun intended) of women. Cheapens them, as they say.
Tomorrow (or tonight, but it's too late for me) we can Google the blogs [use the more feature on your Google page, then select blog searches form the resulting list--of more].
I plain Googled batwoman comics to get a sloughful of writeups. New York Dailey News Entertainment (link) quoted a book dealer: ' "It amps it up a little bit," said Ron Hill, 37, manager of Jimmy Hanley's Universe, a comic book shop on W. 33rd St. "They've long abandoned things aimed at 8-year-olds." '
The 2003 movie, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, was not about this lesbian Batwoman. Read the review here. BTW, Kelly Rippa did the voice acting for the mysterious Batwoman. (Ibid)
Let's check it out (curiosity, remember?).
BTW, the DC in DC Comics stands for the once part of their name, Detective Comics (source --Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). You can also go to the DC Comics Web site at http://www2.warnerbros.com/batman/.
I don't care for comics movies and this gives me just another reason as to why I don't care for them. Totally insane.
