HAPPY THANKSGIVING! THE JIM BUNCH EATS AGAIN
This is the Jim Bunch ready to eat as soon as Billy's mom sits down, she took the picture, and we say the Blessing, thanking God for all our blessings this year.
The other side of the table was as hungry as we were.
Adi says Happy Thanksgiving too! She doesn't look it now, but Adi has already been sick. She's the first. A shrimp dropped on the floor, Adi ate it quickly, and it made Adi sick, quickly.
Today we are eating with Karen, Billy, and BP. The table is set, but we are all in the kitchen preparing food and having hors d'oeuvres with white wine or soft drinks. This would be called 'pre-appetizers' but I think we ate the brie w/ baguette which is on her menu. Maybe not. We'll see.
Below is Karen's menu.
At the upper right are the attendees. Eight adults and three children. Billy's parents and sister with her family are here besides Mrs. Jim and me.
The left hand side is the date of preparation.
Next are listed the five courses we are to eat. Karen enlisted help from her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and Mrs. Jim for making quite a bit of the food on the menu.
Remember Karen is an accountant by training and a financial analyst and forecaster by experience. Everything has to be in order. Karen has been making lists, menus, and plans since she learned about Santa.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING THANKSGIVING Holiday
Get well soon Adi!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't eat those shrimp fishes again!

Looks like you had quite the feast today ... poor little Adi ... pewhy old shrimp ... We're leaving in about an hour to go out to dinner at a nice resort type place on Lake Coeur d'Alene. We should all be hungry by the time dinner is served. BTW ... my friend lives in Keller, TX. Maybe I'll drop by tomorrow for leftovers ;)
ReplyDeleteGidday Jim,
ReplyDeleteI bet you couldn't guess from the comments you will of been receiving that I'm catching up with my blog reading. It's Friday 23rd here 1.55pm, but still the 22nd at your end, so I trust you, Mrs. Jim and your family and friend (oops, that should be friends as one would think you only had one friend) have a enjoyable Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate this here, as this is a American tradition.
I'm playing a CD at the same time as doing this and the song playing is "You're Always On My Mind" what a beautiful song.
Have a great day.
Hi Jim ~~ No need to ask if you had a great thanksgiving. I can see by the food, table settings and menu that
ReplyDeleteit all sounded wonderful. Great to be with your family at this time.
Thanks for your comments, and I did
enjoy the jokes my granddaughter sent me. She is also the mother of my two
grest grandchildren. Take care,
Regards, Merle.
Hi Jim, Looks like you had a grand thanksgiving, and the Table setting looks fit for a King,, Hope Adi get well very quickly.. no shrimps for you aAdi,,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like no one went hungry down there. Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Hovendicks.
ReplyDeleteHi Dad- Yesterday was a great day and so nice to spend with family! I told Billy the kitchen is 'closed' indefinitely! For all of those golfers today, it sure is a cold day!!!
ReplyDeleteThe table is beautiful Jim! The food I know was delicious. My nephew's wife had enough for a small army and I was able to go there and eat. There was 10 of us there.
ReplyDeleteI do hope Adi feels better!!
You have a beautiful family!!
Hi again Jim ~~ Glad you enjoyed the blonde joke. I liked the spund of your ham
ReplyDeletemustard and pickle sandwich, but what is Swiss sandwich? Maybe cheese. Beats
Peanut butter, and yuk to sardines.
Have you recovered after all that food and hilarity yet? Take care, Best wishes, Merle.
Hope Adi got some turkey too. That sits better on puppy tummies!
ReplyDeletelooks like you had a swell Thanksgiving feast! I cooked a spread myself.
ReplyDeleteWhen did you go to Caney Creek Cowboy Church? I missed this past Sunday. My husband is playing Santa Claus at the Lake Conroe Walmart on Saturdays and Sundays and my Twins were little elves.
Did you enjoy the service? It is quite rustic but I enjoy the down home atmosphere. I wish I would have been there so that I could meet you in person!!
Tell me what you thought of it. It is the kind of church you either or don't. Some like a more traditional setting.
So how are you enjoying this cold snap? Take care Jim! :O)
Everything in order and everything in its place.
ReplyDeleteI like organization too.
What a lovely bunch for a great Thanksgiving meal!!!
Poor Adi.
BAD shrimp!!!
Jim ~ Looks like the JIM BUNCH has a lot to be Thankful for! ~ jb///
