Adi Can . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sleep single in her big double bed

Update: Adi had surgery this afternoon (Feb 11, 2008 around noon) to remove a red cherry size tumor in the loose skin on the inside of her right front knee. She was home before four and is resting good. A sample from the growth was sent off for a biopsy.

Sleeping single in a double bed
Thinking over things I wish I'd said

Who sang this song?

"I think I should get paid for this pose"
"I smell trouble here"

It won't hurt, sweet heart
She's a nice lady, she likes puppies
Everybody here likes Adi
You'll be all better real soon
I'll come to get you in just a little bit

This is how our car rides are supposed to be,
not to the vet's office for surgery

No head out the window for today!
Adi will wear this halo collar
for the next 10 days

.

It took her a long time to figure out how to take a nap. I hope she sleeps good tonight. She is on a 24-hour med for pain and anxiety. That might help her sleep.

  1. Poor little Adi, she looks so cute though with her halo hat on her head. I bet it did take a while for her to determine the best way to lay down. I hope she gets better soon so that she can put her head back out the window and let her ears flop in the wind! 10 days is a mighty long time for a doggie!

  3. Hi Jim ~~ I am so sorry that Adi had to have surgery, but hope that she recovers quickly and there is no further trouble.
Is the collar, so that she won't interfere with the bandaged knee? Thanks for your comments, glad you like the Aussie girls, and also the Pilot and Mechanic thing.
Take care, of yourselves and Adi.
    Regards. Merle.

  4. Thank you guys, Adi would like to thank you all too if she could.
Yes, the collar is to prevent her from biting and licking her surgery place and from removing her stitches.
We cut an inch and a quarter off the edges, that makes it better for her.
I take it off when she goes outside also, otherwise she can't smell the ground to investigate what has been going on since she has been there last.

  6. Dad,

I hope Adi has a quick recovery.

PS the next time you need a baby sitter for her, Mrs. Mitch and I would like to have her over (I think you let Hascal have her last time).

  7. That hood would do me in. Hopefully Adi has adjusted to it.

  8. I have a beagle mix and these pictures are heart tuggers. Especially the one where she's nervous about the surgery. Hope she's feeling better.

  9. Jim, I hope the biopsy comes out OK! Poor little Adi, I wonder how long it will take her to get that collar off by herself. Did you survive the rain today?

  10. Dear Jim,
I am a cat person, have had four cats, no dog.
IF I should have a dog, it would definitely have to be a beagle, a beagle with the wonderful looking eyes of Adi.
She is special even to be a beagle, isn't she?

I always was a Snoopy lover though. Amazing what that dog could come up with.

How does poor Adi eat with this halo collar keeping her mouth prisoned??
    I just wonder.

A good recovery to Adi and her dad
