Have you had your car read lately? #007 -- More nice people, see anything similar here?
[large picture] [super sized]
A direct what-you-see-is-what-you-get read first: Mary Kay sticker in the back window; two unreadable overlaying stickers in back window; Isuzu Rodeo logo; God Bless America ribbon sticker; God Listens bumper sticker; Texas license plate; Jesus fish symbol; Support Our Troops ribbon sticker; and Music Is Now bumper sticker.
The driver/owner is obviously a sticker lover. Two are patriotic (red, white, and blue plus their messages) and the other are KSBJ Radio Station supporting.
The first says "God Listens, 89.3 FM KSBJ" meaning radio content, or does it imply or say that God Listens to KSBJ Radio?
The Jesus fish symbol is nice, many don't say 'Jesus' inside rather merely have the empty fish. I don't really understand all this, all I know is that I would like to have one if I always drove nice.
DO YOU THINK THE DRIVERS OF THIS CAR ALWAYS DRIVE NICE?
[large picture] [super sized]
This little BMW Z sports car is devoid of any extra decorations. I doubt I would have any on mine either if I had one. In fact, there aren't any on my Mustang convertible.
I can still read some here. This is a car owned by a (little old) lady, she goes to our church and I know her personally. She is from Texas (plates, like the other) so she has to be nice. And she sings in the choir, she likes music even without a bumper sticker!
Being from Texas, she has to drive friendly (that is our state car motto) even without the Jesus fish. For that matter, so do I.
What is the same here?
1. Both are from Texas (I said that above, look at the Texas plates)
2. They are both in Church (our First Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas)
3. It is a pretty Sunday morning, pretty and cool enough to be out riding (especially in that RED BMW Z roadster)
4. Both drivers are ladies (given above--I know one--and the other sells Mary Kay--probably a woman)
5. More?
This Friday feature for JIM'S LITTLE BLOG helps me tackle the blogging problem of writer's blahs. So my advice is "when you don't feel like writing anything, post a picture." That's what is happening here.
ReplyDelete..
This is not an original idea. Reading cars came from a sermon I heard last Sunday, brought by Dr. Roger Yancey, Director of Missions, Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association, of which our church, First Baptist Church of Conroe Texas, is associated. I believe my count of 118 was pretty close (link for you to check yourself).
I saw a few cowboy churches and quite a few Hispanic churches. All are within a 35 mile radius of our home.
Note: Last week's Car Read has links to the above places or organizations.

I posted a blah picture on my blog. I liked reading this...
ReplyDeleteI won't give my opinion of the first car because it would be rude and not nice. So I will keep my opinions to myself!! LOL As for me I don't like car stickers plastered over your car and the worst one for me that I have seen is MY STUDENT IS ON HONOR ROLL!! Why it bugs me I am not so sure but my kid has been on Principals List and I don't feel the need to display that everywhere I go.
Ohhhh I am grumpy lol. Don't those stickers ruin your paint anyway?
O.K. I am done!!!
Hugs xx
Hi Cat, yes, they ruin your paint and I don't put them on my cars.

Dear Jim ~~ I am so sorry you have been
ReplyDeleteaffected by Ike. I have been wondering, but at least you are both safe, and the house is also OK. Once the power is back (for good) all will be well. It has been
an awful time for so many, and so much destruction. The loss of so many homes lost and so many trees damaged - causing the power outages. Take great care, Very
best wishes. Merle.
I have no answer to your question.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any stickers on either of our vehicles; my husband does not believe in that kind of thing. I would like to have a removable Dale Jr. sticker on my Mustang but haven't found the right one yet.
Hi Jim, I don't know if the owners of the BMW drive nice but I bet the car does! Bob.
ReplyDeleteGday Jim,, Another that hasnt got stickers over her car UGGGG I hate them plastered over anything...
ReplyDeleteOoooppps I have one and thats the rego sticker compulsary on the left hand corner of windscreen//
I'm not a fan of the stickers. I did have one of the magnets with the support our troops on it but I think it must have come off at the car wash, or someone took it, or it fell off. I don't want any stickers on my car!
ReplyDeleteDear Jim,
ReplyDeleteno, we don't have any stickers on our car either.
Our little neighbor have "The survival of the fittest" on his Toyota 4wd tire.
I plan to go writing "I was deadly wrong.Sign. Darwin" on his other tire.
Gunnar says no.
He certainly is a better Christian than I am.
Hopefully your el.power is back now.
From Felisol
Jim, you said on my blog that you were there last Thursday but I wasn't. Nobody was... What do you mean? Did I promise to meet you somewhere? So glad you're all right after Hurricane Ike!
ReplyDeleteOh Jim, I'm such a dummy!!!! I know what you mean...duh! I've got half a brain! Ha! :) RFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteJim - now you know why I post so many pictures! For a funny looking car that I found, go here.
ReplyDeleteI used to work in Conroe, where Burger King had a distribution center. We used to golf at The Woodlands. I think many of our employees lived in Spring. Are you humming "It's a Small World" yet?)
No stickers on my car.
