1. The stent to my left kidney artery will be implanted Thursday morning. I am to be at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital in Houston at 5:30.
It will be outpatient (I can go home when it's finished) in St. Lukes Cath Lab.
2. Adi does not have cataracts. She has nuclear sclerosis, also known as lenticular sclerosis, which is fairly common with older dogs and will not hurt her. They could later develop into cataracts but generally don't.
Finding that and a nail trim cost $38.00 instead of $3000 or more for cataract surgery. Whew!

  1. Does that first train just go throughout the mall? So cool. My granddaughter would love it.
Prayers and blessings are with you for your surgery Jim.
    Take good care.

  2. I am guessing you went to, say, the Dallas Galleria with its displays and donation areas - and that ice rink in the center. Obviously the Zamboni is prepping the ice for those skaters who are tiring of the shopping 'experience'. Although I was at that mall in the early 1980s, so it is my best guess...

  4. We sure do like Trains. My grandparents in Ohio lived just off the tracks and I used to love watching the trains go by but almost as much, we'd go to a spaghetti restaurant in Akron that had a huge model train running around the place. That was a lot of fun as a kid.

  14. Hi Jim ~~ Great looking train.
All the very best for your surgery
on Thursday. Little KP is growing up and stands very straight for her age.
Thanks for your comments and I agree kids get things so much harder now, but no discipline and that's a worry.
You were lucky not to get punished for any of your antics during school years not to mention the truck incident.
Glad you enjoyed the story about Satan and Christ. There doesn't seem to be many blonde jokes around these days. Take care and
again I hope the surgery goes well
and also the recovery after it.
Also glad Adi isn't seriously ill.
    Kind regards, Merle.

  16. Well, Jim, I hope your stent procedure goes well! I faced a possible stent in a cardiac artery but they found no blockages, thank goodness! All I can say is it looks like you were in a mall or a Galleria and the bottom pic is a zamboni... Am I right? Happy Ruby Tuesday!

  18. Hi Jim! I'm catchin up!

Hoorah for Karen running in the marathon!

Glad you got to do some golfing! I know you enjoy that.

I can't believe how fast baby KP is growing! Soon she'll be walking! What a cutie, and I love her toy that she sits/bounces in! Looks like it has lots of nice things to keep her occupied!

I sure hope the artery procedure goes well. At least it's outpatient so that's good! I'm happy for Adi's good news too! You take care Jim!

  19. Love the photos of the trains. I love the idea of an ice rink in the middle of the mall... It's gotta be a heck of a lot warmer than skating on the canal! :)
