Here is a nice comfortable wait for our plane. Mrs. Jim did some business stuff while I was the snack server.
I think it will be apparent where we have gone to.
Can you figure out what we were doing from some of these?
Left: The view from Karen's family flat (apartment).
Right: Some famous singers had their picture taken crossing this street. Then it was put onto one of their album covers. This is two blocks away from Karen's.
Left: Karen and Mrs. Jim touring the area. This is High Street which is a couple of blocks from their flat.
Right: A nice little eatery on High Street. Karen had a haddock cake, Mrs. Jim a pot of mussels, and I had a salmon baguette sandwich. All came with Steak Frites (French fries). The fish cake and sandwich also came with salad. We did a pass around the table on this. All was good.

Left: Enlarge all the way (click on the picture, then click again after it opens) to see the red. We are seeing one of the Queen's homes. She always stays here during the Ascot races as she loves horse racing. At the races Mrs. Jim would take in a good look at her hat; I would look for the little mouse that hangs out around her chair.
Right: The guard personnel don't walk any place, they march.
A neat little shot. Please direct your gaze to the train window.
The next post will be from on down the road.
Please leave some comments now and then while I'm gone. My computer will come with me and I'd like to hear from you.
I might even leave a little post or note here now and then.
And I'll read your blogs some.
But probably I won't resume returning your comments after until I return.

The wave lines on the train are very nice. I just went on a train ride, and am still thinking about the Swiss chap who drew graffiti on the Singapore train and have to be caned and go to jail.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. I would love to go to England.
