As one who has sadly learned the realities of long term disability insurance, I didn't find this funny at all. But it certainly is realistic.
ReplyDeleteGMa, I agree with you, it really is sad, the ways insurance companies use to avoid and/or minimize payment on claims of any kind.
ReplyDeleteMost effort as I see it is spent on marketing, selling mainly, and second is minimizing payouts.
It is sad, but that practice is also a butt of a lot of wry humor jokes.
Mostly I would catagorize their approach as an attrociously pathetic and irresponsible way of doing business.

My comment sounded pretty negative and I apologize for that, Jim. It was reflective of my dislike for insurance companies, not for your fine sense of humor.

Poor Adi, she is really old! Pup has his ups and downs. I just take it one day at a time with him.
