  6. As one who has sadly learned the realities of long term disability insurance, I didn't find this funny at all. But it certainly is realistic.

  7. GMa, I agree with you, it really is sad, the ways insurance companies use to avoid and/or minimize payment on claims of any kind.

    Most effort as I see it is spent on marketing, selling mainly, and second is minimizing payouts.

    It is sad, but that practice is also a butt of a lot of wry humor jokes.
    Mostly I would catagorize their approach as an attrociously pathetic and irresponsible way of doing business.
