John wished he had his scooter. Play school was for girls.
"Save me, save me!" cried Yellow Plushy.
A gun would have been beneficial too.

The 'beneficial' prompt word and the picture were selected by Grandma.
It's posted on her blog, Grandma's Goulash
Her Rules: Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more.
Using the prompt word is not required but Grandma smiles bigger if we do.
Hey, Jim, guess what? Here's what: you might want to head back to Grandma's Goulash and re-link with Linky. When I click on your name there, the link directs me right back to GG's Succintly Yours page instead of your blog. I dunno. Maybe the glitch is coming from my end? Better doubleback, just to be sure, eh? Thanks!)
ReplyDeleteNow, on to your SY entry: Deep, man, seriously deep! Talk about your heavy duty poetry! As I was reading your microfiction, I suddenly found myself hearing a bongo beat playing in the background and a beatnikky Bill reciting it to me and a bunch of other coffee-housey coffeeheads sipping their brew! Yes, that would be YOU (<--cLiCkY-cLiCkY!) sporting the beret!
ReplyDeleteHe wants to leave school, huh? He needs more interesting assignments.
ReplyDeleteThe girls start in on the boys very quickly don't they? Then it's a lifelong process for many.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Jim. :)
John sounds like my brother at that age! School is geared more toward a girl's style of learning than a boy's, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteFelt like I was right there. I could almost hear Yellow Plushie's silent scream. They're ready for the 3pm dismissal bell for sure.
ReplyDeleteVery good Jim - that made me smile!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm seriously prejudiced by my inability to imagine a gun as beneficial in a children's learning situation.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm ready to admit you and a small boy might disagree with me.

Poor John! It sounds like he's ready to go to extremes.
ReplyDeleteHi Jim ~~ Poor John misses his scooter. Thanks for your comments and I am glad that you enjoyed the
ReplyDeletejokes. And I am missing Bec after her being here a week. She has rung me twice since she got home. Not sure
when my son Geoff and his wife Jo are
coming next. My daughter Kate and two girls are coming at the end of the month. Glad you got some rain.
WE had a few showers today also.
Take care my friend, Regards, Merle.
My husband would feel the same after a day of "girl" stuff-LOL!
