What one couldn't do
the three surely could.
Their fear was conquered,

°The word of the week, 'conquer' and the picture were selected by
Grandma.
°It's posted on her blog,

°Her Rules: Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words. It doesn’t have to be exactly 140, just not more.
°Using the word of the week is not required. This week I elected to use it, sort of.

  2. Ah, yes, a cord of three is not easily broken. Those oars would make good weapons, but maybe not against sharks...crunch.

  3. At least they are together, safer for unity is strength. They must be careful when smashing the oars over a shark's head as rocking the boat may result in a toppling over. Wonderful write Jim!

  4. They are on a boat and that's the most important part. Nothing better than boating.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  5. Wonderful variation on the nursery rhyme. If baseball bats can be weapons, why not oars?

Check my blog for an answer to your question.

  6. Fortunately, I've never seen oars used as weapons, but it's an interesting take on the prompt, Jim!
