As seen along the way — Six Word Saturday —

.
my Six Words:
Houston, we've got a wardrobe malfunction
.

We saw this scene on the way toward the beginning of our parade route (link).
.
This little burro was pulling a huge load, the wagon, the 'king,' and a monstrosity of a patriotic harness. I hope the problem got fixed and they were able to participate in the parade. They weren't there on our way back.
Here are three of our parade pictures:
[Please remember that you can click on the pictures to see them larger and you

From left to right:
-Photo taken by a parade watcher. The two Korean conflict heroes in back of our Mustang with Mrs. Jim and I up front hogging the air conditioning;
-The car we followed. Riding it were two WWII veterans; and
-Mrs. Jim with the two Korean veterans who rode with us.
[BTW, Mrs. Jim's older brother was killed in Italy when his P38 airplane was shot down over Italy by the Germans.]

  1. 7. Had a barbecued chopped beef in a baked potato for lunch...

    Hey Jim,

I'm a little surprised you didn't have a baked potato with bacon bits, sour cream and chives for lunch.

I think it's very important that you and Mrs Jim are still taking advantage of your private golf course!

    Best wishes,
    Karen

  8. Pity the little burrow. We expect too much of little things in life that our efforts came to nought at that critical moment! Great write Jim!

  12. Hi Jim ~~ Great photos and I hope the Parade was a huge success for you and the Veterans. Sorry it has been so hot over there. I hope the wildfires are contained now. The river crossing was a normal woman, not a man or a blonde. Take great care,
    my friend, Love, Merle.
