Big Bird took disguise. Rich politicians who'd cut PBS funding were on his tail. They said no 'borrowed money from China' to keep him alive.

°°Grandma of Succinctly Yours Week 81 gives these directions:
°°Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words or less.
°°Thanks to Pat and Jerry for this week’s fun photo.
°°Big Bird's picture from MSN's "PBS says hands off Big Bird in response to Romney 'firing'" (article link)
°°Also you might find this (link) 1969 Mr. Rogers YouTube video interesting (President Nixon also wanted to cut government funding to the Public Broadcasting System).
°°Word of the Week, 'greedy',was furnished by Grandma.  Greed is inherent in the subject matter of my post but was not used specifically.

  2. Why don't we just get rid of all the politicians? Not big bird. Okay, you did a great job.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  3. Good one, Jim! I think Big Bird, Oscar, Bert, Ernie and Miss Piggy will do just fine without taxpayers' money!

  5. Yes, obviously the political scene is hot now. You can't avoid the politicians not until after the reelection. I saw the 1st debate! Very impressive though Pres.Obama got most of the flak from the media! But he apparently redeemed himself the next day in Wisconsin! The second debate should be fun as Pres.Obama has to trigger off a do or die impression!

  7. You are in with the political times. The 1st debate is over. It's barely a month to go. We too, not being Americans wait with bated breath. Nicely Jim!
