My micro story:

John Kelly had three wives who lived a shoe. They had no kids and didn't know what to do.

Button, breathe, wait for x-rays. It never works.

  1. I, too, have heard that having three wives and living in a shoe never works, especially with such young wives!

  2. They are kids! I thought about the old nursery rhyme too. Grandma sure is creative with her photos.

Could you imagine an x-ray machine that looked like a shoe? My husband is a retired x-ray tech. I'll run that by him. lol

  3. I don't know what is worse, having 3 wives or having a gigantic shoe. lol

  4. All those buttons. Bwahahahahahahaha.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  5. Jim--Jerry looked at the photo and all he could come up with was: "I work in a shoe, but my mom lives in a shoe." I made a unilateral decision not to use it. Editor's prerogative... He doesn't care if I sometimes don't use what he said (he dictates it to me and I type it).

  7. Glad to have you back from your vacation, Jim, and you certainly haven't lost your microfiction touch. Poor John. He needs a far bigger shoe than that to house three wives!

  8. In answer to your question about the photo:
It's from a Duke University digital collection on "the emergence of advertising in America". I've used several of the photos in the past. I really enjoy looking at those pics - times have certainly changed. This week's photo caught my eye because it was from a shoe store in Rochester, NY. I lived there for twenty years, although I don't think the store was still there.
