Simple narration and effectively done! Wonderful write Dr Jim!
ReplyDeleteHank
Well little boys do like to run!
ReplyDeleteBigger siblings have the duty to ask proper as the younger ones are always following their lead. Good job, Jim.
ReplyDeleteand when the older one emulates the almost always naughtier younger one.. that means ---trouble..:)
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the word luminous.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
An illuminating tale. As for the antics of boys, I'll quote my Grandpa:
ReplyDeleteOne boy works like one boy.
Two boys work like half a boy.
Three boys work like no boys at all.
P.S. I heard him say this for years and never heard anyone else say it. Just now, I decided to google it and found that it's a Chinese proverb! I'm still going to give my Grandpa the credit.
Luminous shoes must be magical! I like the sibling rivalry aspect...very cute, Jim!
ReplyDeleteThat's my youngest son, Tim, when he was about 8 years old, doing the long jump.
I recall doing a SY story for this a few years ago.
Great photo fun! I may have to check out the SY and Word of the Week too.
ReplyDeleteIs he doing a long jump, Dr Jim? :)
