The forty-eighth issue this week of my WEEKEND ROUNDUP postings and ...
(THE TWENTY-SECOND LETTER FOR THIS SERIES) - the Letter "V" Prompts are: (A) Starts with the Letter "V";  (B) "Verdant" (Tom's Choice); (C) A Favorite; (D) Reflections; and (E)  A Lagniappe.

(A) Starts with the Letter "V":  View starts with "V".   .

Starting here with the View from Pablo Neruda's home in Valparaiso, Chile.  It is atop the hill, looking over the harbor and out to sea.  Inspirational for some nice poetry.  Read of this world famous poet heremy blog entry of his home here(the bottom part of the posting), and read more of Valparaiso here.

(B) "Verdant" (Tom's Choice):   A scene, Verdant lush floral entrance to a cozy nearby to us neighborhood.  Mrs. Jim  knows the flowers, my memory only holds a few very common Varieties.  These should stand up in our mild winter frosts and possible freezes.  Also the Rabbits should not like these Varieties.

(C) A Favorite:   Going to the Christmas Tree farm in the pickup truck, Viewing our choices, and bringing it home and putting it back up is so enjoyable.

An aside, but the inside cab Rear View Mirror View was obstructed.  This called for reliance on the Outside Rear View Mirrors.

One more, I am now and then this year posting my Christmas Tree finds on one of my other blogs.  Find them at "jim's little Christmas tree farm", https://jimmiehov7.blogspot.com/

(D) Reflections:   View of a pretty Reflection of one of the SIX trees at the car dealership waiting room. (A couple of the trees' pictures are posted below.)

(E)  A Lagniappe:   A couple and one tree of the six to view in the customer waiting room.   We all social distanced and a lady kept spraying the empty seats.

The coffee and soft drink dispensers worked and we had individually wrapped cookies, mine was M&M.  At checkout there was a small boxed apple pie which with vanilla ice cream Mrs. Jim and I divided at bedtime.

Bonus Questions:

(1)  What if anything are your feelings for "Christmas preparations?" For me it gets me and I believe others into a thinking mode, ready to think of and be thankful for Jesus' coming to Earth as a baby.

(2) What is your favorite "VWord?  Mine today will be "Vernon." Vernon is my middle name.  Also it was my dad's middle name.  He had a twin sister, we think Veronica, who died shortly after birth.  They were small preemies and had to be placed in the warm oven after their birth.  Dad weighed four pounds.  My oldest two are twin boys, one weighed four pounds and the other six. We don't know of any other in our family tree named Vernon.

(3) Anything else here you would like to tell about?

  1. (1) What if anything are your feelings for "Christmas preparations?". They are pretty, but we don't decorate anymore. Jesus is the reason for the season as far as we are concerned.

    (2) What is your favorite "V" Word? Vitality. I remember when I had much more than I do now.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Jim. My best to Mrs. Jim. ☺

  2. My maternal grandmother was Veronica or Vonnie as she was called. I used to wish it was my name and be called Ronnie!

Christmas generally just makes me think of excess!
