Answer:It's the inside of a messy recycle barrel. Someone had dumped a chocolate sundae inside. It had melted and hardened.
The recycle people threw the plastic dish, not visible, back inside. The vanilla ice cream had run all over the bottom and then hardened.
Remedy? I guess put a big sign on it saying "recycle bin only" to keep nasty things like this out.
One thing for sure, it is clean now! I scrubbed and scrubbed with these tools. Sorry that the barrel isn't so very blue.

I hate it when people throw things in the wrong bin, but I give them lots of credit for not throwing it on the sidewalk. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
I never would have guessed that - I thought you were looking in water of some sort. HA sandie
ReplyDeleteYuck. I thought you were looking through a block of ice! But now I see the mess.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking a dish washer gone wrong. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Sandee - better not being thrown on the sidewalk. But, I would't have been a happy camper. It would have made me a little 'blue'. :)
Kind of cool. I was trying to make it an oilpan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for you nice comments on my blog Jim. I sure do think of my blogging friends real often. Glad you are doing well after back surgery. I still think of Karen as Super Woman! I wish I had so much energy!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo because I can see you taking the picture in the reflection. I hate cleaning those deep bins, they are hard to reach into the bottom of. Most annoying!!
I thought this was a high chair with lots of water on it!
Jim ~ What a mess you have gotten in here! But I am glad it all came out OK! Hope that you both are doing fine! ~ j///b
ReplyDeleteat least it made for a great abstract photo
ReplyDeleteI once fell into our giant trash bin trying to clean it, that was a sight to see!!
I now leave it for my son
