Saint Patrick's Day — Six Word Saturday —

.my six words:

Happy St. Patrick's Day! What's this?

Got this e-Mail from a relative. It was forwarded like a lot of the "Fwd: Fwd's" are. The subject was, "Fw: HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!! from M a x i n e" and it had Fifteen cartoons similar to this one.

For the life of me I don't understand this one. What does she mean? Her use of the word "Irate" floors me.

If you could help me I would be grateful.

  1. Hi Jim ~~ I have no idea what Maxine means by "irate"
and most of the things she says and does amaze me.
I am so glad you and your wife are going to London next month where you really can see and talk to them all.I also like the little trip just for you and Arlene. That is so nice.
I am OK after the fall- just
have pain down one leg and I keep the phone very close
Very grateful to Mike who came today and cut my lawns
(I pay for that) He brought me some cream yesterday and massaged the calf of my leg and it killed the pain for
quite some time, so I use it 3 times a day and it is called Ice Gel. Good stuff.
I will give the crutches a good try when I am able, but
    feel safe with the walker.
What young people do on crutches is not what you or I could do. I hope and pray you are safe on the cane Jim
    Be very Careful my friend.
Thank you so much for your prayers - what better thing to send me from any distance
I still feel good and this is only a minor hiccup.
    Take care, Cheers, Merle.

  3. Can't help you I'm afraid. The only vague connection with St Patrick's Day is that Irate and Irish have the first two letters in common!

  4. Great question.... why would anyone want to kiss a mad woman?

  5. She's Miss Negativity. That's all she's got and that makes her funny to many. She doesn't want a kiss, she just wants you to go away.

Have a terrific day and Happy St. Patrick's day to you and Mrs. Jim. :)

  7. Maxine , marches to her own drum!

she thinks if someone is brave to try and kiss her, she might be able too, put up with them .

any one with enough green beer in them would try!

  8. So if she gets a kiss will it make her sweet and sugary and all things nice? Ah who wants that, I like her when she's all grumpy!

  11. Lol! I don't know either, I didn't even know what irate means and after looking it up i'm still confused. I'm guessing it's saying that the Irish are angry? Umm.... I don't know. : )

  12. Love the fact that you left such a lengthy comment on my 'meme' post.It felt as if we were sitting having coffee and chatting (except I don't drink coffee). It feels as though we are becoming firm cyber friends Jim. Yay!

  13. Instead of "kiss me I'm Irish", "cranky" Maxine is saying "Kiss Me, I'm irate."

Maxine comic is known for her crankiness, sarcasm, etc in her commentary about life and life relationships.
