Six Pictures — My Alphabe-Thursday (4th), the letter "P" -- and a Quiz

"P" is for 'Petty things' and for 'Petty things' that I like.
The quiz:  You can guess which is 'petty' and which is 'pretty'

"P" is for Putting, here when playing miniature golf.
I hope KP, our youngest grandchild, makes her Putt.

"P" is for Peanut butter.  I eat about a jar and a half a week.
That is now that the amount has reduced from 18 ounces to 16.

"P" is for Pancakes. This was the first BEAR pancake she made for the day.  Guess who got to eat that one?  Mrs. Jim has made BEAR pancakes for all of our six grandchildren. This time it was was for KP.

"P" is for Potatoes. KP ate all these and her grilled cheese sandwich.
They both looked really good.

"P" is for Playhouse.  There was a 'parade of playhouses' display (Casas for Casa!) of assorted styled playhouses.  The playhouses are to be sold next week at auction to benefit CASA, Child Advocates of Montgomery County.  Mrs. Jim picked this one, she likes the color blue.  It is contemporary style and should sell well.  Lots of $$$.

(Oh, yes, today is National Wildlife Day, try to stop by the zoo on your way home.)

  1. Jim, I love the fact that your grandlittle ate that giant plate of fries! She is so tiny! It isn't fair. ;-).

Love the playhouse. I wonder if they make big people playhouses? I had a playhouse as a child and enjoyed it so. It was converted from an old smokehouse and the previous back door of our home when they remodeled. How I loved it!

Dropping by from Jenny's and wishing I had that pancake right about now.

    It's nice to meet you!

    Sheila :-)

  2. Love that pancake! I looked at it sideways and the bear really jumped out! That's a lot of peanut butter! I had a snack yesterday of pb and saltines -- pretty good but better with brown sugar graham crackers!! Cute pics of your grandlittle -- she will surely grown up to be a great golfer!

In answer to your question last week (i.e. third grade teachers) -- yes! I do remember my third grade teacher -- she was the one who noticed, and told my mother, that I needed glasses!

  4. She ate all those fries and the grilled cheese sandwich too? Really, in one sitting? Wow, that's a heap of food.

You and my hubby love peanut butter. He gets a spoon and just eats it right out of the container.

Have a terrific day Jim. My best to Mrs. Jim. ☺

  7. Hi, Jim!

Dropping back by to answer your question. When I got hurt last fall, I had to go by ambulance to the hospital, and my hand was fractured. I also hit my head and really hurt my right knee, but it was miraculously unbroken! I have tough knees. It took months for the swelling to go down, but my doctor takes care of professional athletes and was amazed at my recovery. He said I was a walking miracle. I give God all the credit. My hand had a fracture in an odd spot, and the young lady who gripped it gave me a firmer handshake than she realized. I felt it being reinjured when she did it. She had no idea because I said nothing, but it became swollen immediately. I gave it several months to recuperate and am watching it still as it took several months the first time.

I am so thankful yours is better! Hope you continue to have good mobility!

  8. Jim, these things are not at all petty! They are fabulous! Thanks for your comment on my post. Since my son was in the Safeway when Gabby Giffords was shot, I have become much more aware of the tragedies that guns can cause. Having said that, I have never been pro-guns.

  14. Nice job on the letter P. I especially enjoyed the bear pancakes and huge plate of fries. My mom used to put ears on our pancakes, too, but she called them "Micky Mouse" pancakes.

    ;)
