My Car List, of all or most all of the cars I have owned
is LAST on this post. Please scroll down to it.
- the Letter "C" Prompts are:
(A) Starts with the Letter "C"; (B) A Favorite; (C) "C" for Calm (Tom's choice); and (D) Reflection(s).
(A) Starts with the Letter "C": Cantaloupes starts with the Letter "C". Our third picture of KP doing the Letter "C" in the song, "YMCA", Body Format. We were in Sprouts of Katy, Texas (our Houston Suburb). KP is our youngest granddaughter.
She had her 10th Birthday Wednesday, tonight she is finishing up her celebration with a sleep-in party with a few other of her friend girls.
1937 Ford Deluxe Cabriolet. Another of my Toy Cars. My dad bought me a low mileage 1937 Ford Tudor car owned by a LOL (Little Old Lady) to drive to my last two years of High School. But he traded it in for a 1949 Ford Pickup before school started because he thought it would be safer having hydraulic brakes.
This newspaper article called their 1936 a Cabriolet, actually it was a Coupe Convertible. I have about 35 of these Cast Iron Toy Cars and Tractors. Most all are 1:16 scale. The doors open, hoods and deck lids open, and the steering wheel steers the front tires.

(B) A Favorite: We were having a Corn Dog Friday Lunch. Guess which of us, Mrs. Jim, KP, or Me, had two Corn Dogs? Who had two cups of milk. Did any of us adults have two cups of Diet Coke?

Nice post! At first I thought KP was a reflection because the "C" looks backwards. :-) Never been to Regents Park but hope to someday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of cars you have had Jim. Love the calming sign and a good idea. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.
ReplyDeleteGreat "C"'s you found. Wow, what a lot of cars (wish, I had only one in my whole life)!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the last photo with al these birds.
Greetings from Germany
...Cantaloupes, I knew it! My wife had a 2011 Cadillac DTS, even the dealer couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Thanks Mr Car Guy for stapping by, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteKP was hungry. The young can eat a lot. Us older folks not so much.
ReplyDeleteYou've had some great cars. You still have a few of them too.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Jim. ♪♫♪♫
I am so glad to find you again - I lost everything in a computer blow up a couple years ago. The last year - I have sort of beginning to blog again. Twice a month. But I lost all my contacts and everything and have been trying to get 'my besties' back. I still have your quote on my blog. Oh and I took a blog break too - it was just getting too much a few years ago for a year.
ReplyDeleteWell my grandson is going to college - but he will live at home till he works and saves some money.
So KP - she grew up! She is beautiful. I don't blame you for moving closer to her.
My other grandson is about her age in Ohio. I don't get to see him much.
What is the letter C.
Hey send my your email address. Mine is skcz@comcast.net
Good to hear from you. Glad everyone is okay.
Sandie
The cabriolet is a great model - as a fan of car models (since I built many 1/25 cars when I was much younger). You are right about the mechanical brakes being a ford trademark, ‘ol Henry didn’t go hydraulic until 1938 or 1939)…Corn dogs are great - when the cornmeal batter is done right…KP has reason to celebrate 10 years of life!
