Letter "P" -- -- Weekend Roundup

THE SIXTEENTH LETTER FOR THIS SERIES - The Letter "P" Prompts are: (A) Starts with the Letter "P"; (B) "Peaceful" (Tom's Choice); (C) A Favorite; and (D) A Lagniappe.

 - - - -

(A) Starts with the
Letter "P":  PumpkinPumpkins are used a lot when coming to mind for "P" words.
Harvest is in and Halloween is beginning to bear down on us.  Pumpkins for eating and for Jack-o-lanterns.

(B) The word,
Peaceful (Tom's choice)  We chatted with our friends until the Parade started.
(C) A FavoritePebblesPebbles belonged to Mrs. Jim when we were married.  She was a Chihuahua little dog and was used to half of Mrs. Jim's bed for sleeping before we married.  After that she was relegated to sleeping in her basket placed in the open closet.

The dog in the picture was her dog later, a Toy Poodle named Katrin, given to her by a friend who was dying.

Katrin died in 2014, we had her for a nice nice and enjoyable friendship.

(D.1) A  Lagniappe:  After moving to Bentwater,  north of Houston, we mostly went to our subdivision parade. We called it a golf cart parade although there were a few cars and motorcycles also. Not many bicycles.

This was my Favorite float golf car, Entry No. 68. You might recognize the occupants, GC#4 (a.k.a. BP), Adi, and Mrs. Jim. They worked hard on the decorations, Karen and I helped some. I always got the job of blowing up balloons.

And those airplanes?

Just look below.

.

We hardly missed a Fourth of July parade. Nor did we miss the fireworks. Friendswood always had great one too, generally a light show. Mrs. Jim and I reminisced tonight as we watched our subdivision fireworks. One year we went to the Red River in Alexandria, Louisiana. where they had a nice boat light parade as well.

We went home after the parade and had hotdogs.

(D.2) A Second Lagniappe:  Principalities I have visited in that begin with "P":   (I forgot last week to post the "P" countries, so here are the ones that we have visited.
