— Six Word Saturday —
.
my Six Words:
Four-year-olds-to-be-in-July can learn to play golf. This is our granddaughter, KP, again. Isn't she growing fast (link to other KP posts)
She has gone to the driving range with her father. When not doing that she practices on her swing at home here in her garden.
Our KP has been needing some press here. Seems as I have been neglecting her as of late.
We had a nice time at the playground. She will swing for hours if someone will push her. Smart girl.
This is a nice neighborhood park for her to play in. Things there and the surroundings are very pretty. And there are cooler shady spots for the older ones when they start getting hot from all that pushing.

Feline Friday -- Amber
.
. O

[Partially reposted from October 1, 2008] This is Karen's cat, Amber. It was sleeping on her bed, just minding it's own business.
Karen is a little mischievous sometimes, this time she put the cover on thinking Amber would wake up and get up. That didn't happen, Amber wiggled and settled in for the finish of her nap.
Amber was rescued from Karen's friend. The cat was used to being a house cat but for some reason that I can't remember Amber was required to become an outside cat. Amber died in December, 2012.
For more Feline Friday cat pictures, you can go to Sandee's blog here to see the links to others who are adding to her collection of cats today.

A Random Five post [011] — Youngest Granddaughter Day
.
One: Four-year-olds-to-be-in-July can learn to play golf. This is our granddaughter, KP, again.
She has gone to the driving range with her father. When not doing that she practices on her swing at home here in her garden.
Two: Our KP has been needing some press here.
Three: What kind of car is this?
This was the first one I had ever seen to know what kind it was.
Hint: It was produced between 2005 and 2009 by an American company for an overseas market.
WhatCar.com says that it is a Chevrolet Tacuma MPV (05 - 09).
..
.
Four: We went to church Sunday at the "All Souls Church." The church was so packed that the people coming in just on time were ushered to the overflow area. That area I believe had better air conditioning than the sanctuary and the balconies.
A student minister preached the sermon from Joshua. It was very inspiring. Joshua was a new generation action fellow who trusted God on His promises. The earlier generation did not and so were not allowed to cross the Jordan.
The student preacher made it very visual as to how the waters stopped and the Israelites crossed the River Jordan on dry land. And it is all in the Bible, Joshua Chapters Three and Four.
Five: One cannot leave a bicycle in one place for very long. This one stayed too long, take look at it's back tire.
Yesterday I saw only a rear tire chained to the pole. I am not sure this is right as there seems to be ample designated places for one to park his bike.
Below are a couple of nice bikes, one on the street (left) and the other still in the store. The latter seems to be a high dollar bicycle, being a Lotus brand carbon fibre model. (More on Lotus bicycles link)

"H" is for

Mrs. Jim is an excellent cook. Here is her table setting ready for the gourmet group's meal.
Before we ate she had appetizers, or hors d'veores. The deviled eggs are always my favorite.
See Wikipedia for a rundown of horsd'veores (link). I learned that there may not even be a meal afterwards.
See Jenny Matlock's blog, "Off My Tangent," for other Alphabe-Thursday "H" entries (link). Bloggers, you may wish to enter there also.
An aside, I wanted to post all of the pictures that I have taken of my Hot Dogs for my "H" entry. But ...

Green and Believe -- Josie's Two Shoes
God made the fields of green.
I believe green is God's favorite
color. He loves the reds, the blues,
and the yellows. He loves all
of the mixtures they can make.
But best of all, God loves the green.
Don't forget all the trees He made,
for they are green as well.
Those trees are special to Him for
making of crosses and coffins.
We see His son
was crucified on a tree,
a cross made of cedar
from the tree once green.
His Son had no coffin but His body
was wrapped, then buried in clothes
fit for the rich man, Lazarus.
buried in coffins made from
the wood of His green trees.
There it'll rest until His Son, Jesus,
returns. Then the coffin will open
and we believers in His Son, and
in how He happened to die for us
and then rose from the dead,
will leave our coffins and go with Him.
God loves green,
He loves His green world.
But since Adam, God has deemed
that we, mere men and women,
should care for his world.
We've done the best when
we ourselves benefit from our labors.
Golf course green with God's
green grass is planted there
by agronomists who dedicated their lives
to the keeping of His world green.
The trees give shade for His golfers
and places for His squirrels to play.
When left alone, God's green
shares with His Mother Nature's others.
Fields of Texas Blue Bonnets grow
in place of the unselfish yielding grass,
yellow sunflowers and golden rods
supplant His green with glee.
We love to ride and ogle His world
through the forests on the roads man has made.
There yellow Gerbera Daisies
and Esperanza flowers proliferate.
Knowing that God can do all this for us
should make us want all the more
and more to be His stewards
for the good of us all, man and God.
And for sure that this beauty could
only be invented and created by God.
No other way.
I believe in a good and gracious God.

Though delicious, the ear of corn was too heavy for Einstein to carry.
Either he'd eat the corn off or get a truss so he could carry it home.
