The abuse at our house has stopped now!
.
Poor baby, just my little unspecting pony. It ended up all dirty and grimy too.
.
It had stayed out for almost a month. In the rain and sun and sleet and freezing rain (one day). You see first the painters needed its stall in the garage and then Mema's things were pretty much filling that space.
Mrs. Jim had sorted through Mema's things and put a lot away. Today I finished clearing out the space. That Mustang really enjoys being inside.
I guess there is a first for most every thing including hardships.
.
.
Cliff (link) has asked in his comment this morning why it ever had to sit outside. That Green Mustang II you see was my Mom's and I am now the caretaker.
[Go here, halfway down in the blog for a full size picture of the Mustang II with Adi.] It had to go in here, we are finding a new home for it since we had to give up Mema's garage.
That also means Mrs. Jim's car has to sit outside, it won't fit where my Mustang is, there is just a small space by our back door. The floor plans call it a golf car garage.
.
.
An after picture (with story) below:
.
.
This room officially is the study room of our house. We call it Mrs. Jim's study and music room.
I don't have a before. The painters came so we put things in here and literally (link) messed everything all up. It was nice that they could paint the study first.
So, this is after the painters have gone.
.
This picture is called progress. The progress is "what's missing from the picture above" like I blogged about yesterday (link to yesterday's blog).
Everybody works at our house.
.
.
.
What do you think Adi has been doing while Mrs. Jim and I were working?
You may have to click on the picture to figure it out. It was fun (for her) while it lasted.
.
Right now she's watching her shadow and wishing she was the groundhog.

This will be hard for Californians, Oregonians, Arizonans, Washingtonites, and Florida people. And a few others too.

BTW, this foot has been before in my pretty foot contest (link), or was it a pretty feet contest?
.
.
Adi likes her profile picture the best. Got to keep Adi happy don't we!
.
Put your answers in a comment. I may pull them off for a while to give everyone a chance.
Well, that does it for now. I doubt this will be very hard, you ought to make a passing grade of 80%. Let me know if I made this goofy test too hard.

Adi Can . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Be a little ticklish
I think Adi's tickle response is to gargalesis (see below) although scientists are not sure animals besides primates will respond.
But notice her paw trying to make me stop. Granted she does not laugh out loud but she sure does react, always when I tickle her around her neck area.
Knismesis and gargalesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"Gargalesis refers to harder, laughter-inducing tickling, and involves the repeated application of high pressure to sensitive areas.[2] This 'heavy tickle' is often associated with play and laughter. The gargalesis type of tickle works on humans and primates, and possibly on other species.[5]

This and That: (1)Shortage of baby making machines; (2)Good use for manure, no more petroleum; (3)Robots to park cars; and (4)Eat to help sleeping
My solution: Build a bridge from Mexico and Central America to Japan, then open the gate. Admit two women (baby making machines) for every one man.
I read this in:
.
BBC NEWS Asia-Pacific Japan gaffe minister 'must quit':
"Tackling birth rate
Mr Yanagisawa had told a local political meeting 'Because the number of birth-giving machines and devices is fixed, all we can ask for is for them to do their best per head.'
.
Japanese children are fewer and further between
.
On Monday he told parliament he would 'make every effort in the Abe government to work out measures to solve the problem of the low birth-rate.'
.
Prime Minister Abe has pledged to bring in policies that will tackle the falling birth rate.
.
Japan has the world's highest ratio of elderly to young people.
The trend raises serious concerns about the country's future economic growth and how it can fund its pensions.
.
It also has forced Japan to question its attitude to immigration."
.
Yes, immigration should be the answer, read all about the problem.
Where is the petroleum? It just takes corn and soybeans to make environmentally clean energy for the world.

Oh yes, the people can eat the cows.
.
There are three open places in the loop:
- first the input, corn and soybeans;
- second an output, beef for the people to eat; and
- third power from the ethanol to run cars and make electricity.
"Langley's [ethanol] plant is next to a 28,000-head cattle feedlot. The cattle will produce roughly 244,000 tons of manure annually — more than enough to be the sole power source for the company's 25 million-gallon ethanol plant." (quote is from the Houston Chronicle article below)
"Cattle may produce new profit
Ethanol plant fueled by methane is nearly ready
Associated Press
MEAD, NEB. — Ranchers have long been fond of saying cattle manure smells like money.
Now, folks in the business of making ethanol are smelling dollars too — in the methane gas emitted by manure at large cattle feedlots and dairies."

Robots to park cars in New York
The Houston Chronicle, Jan. 30, 2007, 1:44PM (link)
Computers will do it all and, "Parking rates will be competitive — about $400 monthly or $25 per day, according to Ari Milstein, the director of planning for Automotion Parking Systems."
Go read the article to find out all about it.

Eat your way to a good night's sleep
Our choices are: [from Family Nutrition by AskDrSears.com (link)]
Foods that are high in carbohydrates and calcium, and medium-to-low in protein also make ideal sleep-inducing bedtime snacks. Some examples:
apple pie and ice cream (my favorite) [mine too!]
whole-grain cereal with milk
hazelnuts and tofu
oatmeal and raisin cookies, and a glass of milk
peanut butter sandwich, ground sesame seeds
(It takes around one hour for the tryptophan in the foods to reach the brain, so don't wait until right before bedtime to have your snack.) "
Let's see now, I'll have a peanut butter sandwich, a granola bar, some hazel nuts, and apple pie and ice cream.
I hope this all doesn't give me nightmares that will spoil it all by waking me up.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers **

That sounds like good advice. It sounds easy, and the Lord Jesus has said "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."****
**Psalm 1: (BibleGateWay link)
1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
