A hard day's play in France [part 1] -- SkyWatch Friday (my twenty-seventh) -- Our Spring 2009 Europe Holiday
We went to Homps to ride a canal boat on the Canal du Midi. When we got there we found out that in late April they only ran the afternoon ride so we had to figure out what to do whit our morning.
By unanimous vote it was decided we would visit an old town a bit to the north.
I will show you around that quaint little town which once had been a midievial fortress city.
The boat captain (only he and a boat attendant would be on our little canal boat) suggested that we drive north to Minerve (link).
We couldn't take the tour (we wouldn't anyway) because we had to have eaten and be back to Homps by 1:00.
The cat was digging in the garbage
at the restaurant outside eating area.
And what did we eat? These places here were not fast food
and there wasn't a MacDonalds. So we dug into our emergency rations.
That would be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made in the car,
some cookies, and canned Coca Cola Light.
We made it back in plenty of time for our canal boat ride. I will post from that nice ride next time.
We had fun. I will write more of our Spring 2009 Europe Holiday later.

Adi Update -- Ruby (Red) Tuesday
Adi's has been under the weather lately. Her problem was diagnosed as
Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE) in Dogs (link).
She spent Sunday, May 17, afternoon and night in the emergency clinic and doggy dormitory. Then all day Monday until about six.
All that time she was getting fluids and meds by IVs.
When she got home she was on a canned bland canned food diet and gradually she could have her kibbles added.
Too she was taking Flagyl 250 Mg pills, two a day through Friday (10 pills). We finished those Friday evening.
Adi is pretty well recovered now.
She still is inordinately thirsty. I am waiting to see if it could be the canned diet food doing that too her. Otherwise she has a new problem now. Time will tell.
She is in good spirits and feeling chipper, much like her old self. She ha lost some weight but has that put back on now.
Adi did come with us this Sunday to Mrs. Jim's family reunion in Louisiana.
The picture below is to show that our Memorial Day flag is not nearly to be touching on the ground as it is hanging about a foot above.
Or perhaps she is hoping she go visiting with the residents of our assisted living home tomorrow. I think she will. Of course I go too.

My new haircut
She was surprised when I told her I wanted this, picture at right which was hanging on her style wall. I told her it was in my preparation plans for transition into a Willie Nelson style.
Like I said before, I'm under the white flag for blogging until about June 1st. So I probably won't post again until around then.
Except for a Ruby Tuesday if I get it done.
[He] I'll drop you off on my way,
you won't have to take your car.
I'll pick you up when I'm through.
. . .
[She] No way that I'll be dropped off.
[He] It'll work so good for you.
I'm going by--can you dress?
See all your friends, shop for food.
. . .
[She] I'll tell you what—drop you off.
