Happy Valentine's Day!

Won't you join me for a cuppa coffee (come look)? Happy Valentine!

This was our desert at last nights Valentine Day dinner. It tasted even better than it looked! Coffee was good too (come look if you didn't do it above).

Crazy Working Mom

In case you were wondering what Adi was doing, don't worry. She and I had gone for another walk earlier in the morning.

Here she is looking back to see how far we've come.

I've been working on Income Tax the last couple of days. Still have more to do, I did Mom and Dad's final trust returns stuff. Sister Lois is down and will be back up her Monday. She is busy enjoying her grandchildren right now for a week.

Have a Valentines Day party with Mrs. Jim's Sunday school class tomorrow night. They are having a banquet dinner. Guess I'll have to dress up.

Saturday night a bunch of us couples are playing dominos at a couple's home up the street from here. The game's formal name is forty-two. This game is played with double six dominoes, it is very common in Texas.

For the rules and playing strategy, buy the book, Texas 42. The rules and order information are on-line at (link). We play the for points version.

Oh yes, we will eat too. I think pretty good since it is a Holiday (Valentines Day).

Ruby (Red) Tuesday -- Valentines Day Gift (way to the heart)

Jim's Valentine poem (Mrs. Jim said yes 36 years ago)

This may have to do for our Valentines Day outings. Of course there will be the usual chocolate and card thing. I'm pretty sure of that.

Not the red car, but the red "G's" is the red in this post.
I could say that Mrs. Jim took me out to eat
at our new Mexican Restaurant.
Tia G's is in Willis, about six miles from our home.

Okay, the "OPEN" sign is red too.

But the food is the way to this man's heart.

I couldn't eat all of mine, here is what is in my 'doggy bag.'

It wasn't the best we have around.
I'd say Taco Bell is a little better

From our antiquing at one of the antique stores in Brenham.
These are all cookie cutters, some on a red peg board.

I liked this old storage cabinet with all it's drawers.

I didn't ask where it came from but
the wording was written in an oriental characters
which I did not understand.

Click the Ruby Tuesday button if you want to see more Ruby Tuesday posts.

Mary is in charge there, you can post your own if you wish.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age. Zechariah 8 (NIV) (KJV)

a scene all have seen
old men sitting on a bench
no movement here
.
Guess we've been doing this for a long, long time
(more? click here)
