"Oh Lord, won't you buy me a (Red Ferrari Convertible)?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends."

"Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, won't you buy me a" . . . Red Ferrari Convertible?

Starts with "V":  Vehicle starts with "V".  I like toys, riding toys for the younger set are fine with me too.  I don't know where, a store obviously by the signs hanging, this was when SIL, Bill took this.  Thank you, Janis Joplin. Janis was of my genre, in fact I had a crush on her. May you RIP, you poor free soul.

A Favorite:  Another Vehicle, my 1998 Mustang has a nice birthday this year, she is 25 years old.  In Texas that makes her an Antique Auto, so I changed her license and got some Antique license plates for her present.  She has been a nice Vehicle for me, the Convertible I never could keep but now I have another.

One I couldn't keep was a 1956 Ford Convertible, new in the fall but the next spring I was drafted into the Army and had to sell it as my Army pay, with dependents, was less than my car payments.  (You may have heard this story before, please forgive me if so.)

The other that I didn't keep was a white 1974 Dodge 600 Convertible, a keeper but a mechanic wrecked it when taking a "test ride" to the saloon for lunch and was drunk coming back to work.  He was arrested for automobile theft, drunk driving, and one other charge that I can't remember.

Tom's suggestion, "Violet":  I have only known one lady named Violet. That is excepting the TV character on the British sitcom, "Keeping up appearances," 1990 to 1995.  There Violet was the wealthy seldom seen sister of the main character, Hyacinth.

The Violet who I did know (but only got to see here a few times) was a cousin of my dad.  The last time I saw her was at her home.  Violet was driving but didn't drive in Omaha, she lived in Fremont, Nebraska, because she was 98 years old then.  She did live to be over 100 but I wasn't informed of her death.  (Note:  I copied these two paragraphs from a Letter "V" post on June 3, 2018, five (5) years ago.)
Also, Wild Violets and the Dandelions were the first flowers that I was familiar with for quite a while.  Dandelions at home and Violets in the school yard.

James' request, Reflections
and/or Street Photos/Candid Captures This is our daughter's new pool at daybreak.  I liked the Reflections so took a picture from the living room window.  We like it and we don't.  It is nice for them, but we don't see them nearly as often now that their family has a swimming place in their own backyard.

What looks like it could be a rabbit in the foreground may have been a rabbit that I hadn't noticed.  There is a family of rabbits that likes our backyard.  They and alligators are protected species in our county.

Something "Light":  Kids Advice on Love and Marriage
=================================

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then. * Camille, age 10
