Six Word Saturday ~~ Katrin, our 14-year-old poodle
my six words:
She died in her doctor's office of heart failure. We loved Katrin so very much, Mrs. Jim had "rescued" her from a dying friend.

On the right is a very guilty dog back in 2008 when we first got her. She had gotten into BP's toothpaste. See this link:

My Alphabe-Thursday (5th), the letter "C" — Some places I've been starting with "C" and for ...
"C" is for our cute little toy poodle, Katrin. Katrin died Monday night of heart failure. We loved Katrin so very much, Mrs. Jim had "rescued" her from a dying friend.
"C" is also for some places, countries and cities starting with the letter "C" where I have traveled:
Countries:
Canada
China
Croatia
Curacao
Czech Republic
States: (I've been to all 50)
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Cities:
Cairo (saw the sphinx, the pyramids, 'sailed' the Nile River, and rode a camel
Chengdu, China (saw the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries,)
Canada we liked most everywhere we've been. Montreal and Quebec City rated high with us as did British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
Here are four of my favorite pictures from our 2010 Quebec City visit.
(and a link to my two posts: http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/search/label/Quebec%20City)
Croatia we've visited twice, one a weekend in Dubrovnik with our daughter and grand-daughter, KP. Dubrovnik for tourists is the quaint little old red roofed walled city on the Adriatic Sea, across from northern Italy. Of course it has grown a lot in modern times outside of the old walls.

The Croatia we visited later was a stop at Split while on a Princess cruise from Venice to Istanbul on into the Black Sea over to Yalta, Ukraine and then back to Athens, Greece. We made stops nearly each day at other ports.
- Jenny is starting in now on her tenth series of Alphabe thursday. With 52 weeks in a year and 26 letters in the alphabet she is now in her fifth year. I am linked to her blog, GO HERE for more participants and their offerings.
- I am in my fifth series of Alphabe Thusday. I intend to put on some pictures of my travels when I can find a few. I have some on in an album of Budapest.

To the Store -- Two Shoes Tuesday
I went to the store
I went to the store, the streets were quiet
They'd closed the antique store, we missed the sale
Where have all the people gone, streets are bare
Been quiet in here this week I was told
Got my baloney, cheese, and some rye bread
A beef barbeque and a Coke to go
On the way home there wasn't much traffic
Where are the folks? My neighbors are gone too
Just don't buy the store right now, wait and see

Josie said, the "writing themes to choose from are sacred and store." I chose 'store'.
