Letter "Y" -- -- Weekend Roundup and Reflections/People on the Street

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
   - - -

Weekend Roundup, THE TWENTY-FIFTH LETTER FOR THIS SERIES - The Letter "Y" Prompts are: (A) Starts with the Letter "Y"; (B) "Yellow" (Tom's Choice); (C) A Favorite; (D) A Lagniappe; and (E) A Reflection/Persons on the Street.

  - - - -

(A) Starts with the Letter "Y":  "Yardstick" and "Yes" start.  Do you have any "Yardsticks"?  Yes, I have Yardsticks, I have Six.  The other two are in the house inside the umbrella stand vase.  These are laying on top of a garbage container in the garage.  I haven't played golf in six years but I do practice a little in the back yard.  My "Slotline" putter is a late 1970's model, I don't think they are still in production.  I am a good putter and don't want to ever change my putter out.

BTW, Scrabble Word Finder found 5476 words that start with "Y". Browse their Scrabble Word FinderWords With Friends cheat dictionary, and WordHub word solver to find words starting with "Y".

(B) "Yellow" (Tom's Choice):  These Yellow Cabs in the photo are in a NYC parking lot.  This shot was taken from a van driving through Manhattan to the Hudson River dock where our princess ship was tied.

The cruise in 2017 would take 22 Days total.   On the way back from Nova Scotia and on another cruise to Iceland and on to London would dock at the Brooklyn Naval Yard.  I hadn't seen so many Yellow Cabs parked in one place before.

(C) A Favorite:   This is my favorite Yardstick.  I'm glad for today that it is yellow also.  My special Yellow Yardstick.

I found the Yellow Yardstick along the side of the road outside our former Montgomery, TX, subdivision, Texas Highway FM 1097.

It is a good one, a metal "Swanson AE141" made by Wilson Tool of Illinois.   A metric scale is on the bottom of the face and English on the top.  The other in the 'stand' is one that Mrs. Jim was given from a funeral home in South Houston.  She thought we had lost all our Yardsticks.

(D.1) A Lagniappe:  The Christmas Yodelers Trio
Mrs. Jim painted the critter on the left.  It is a part of a Christmas display in the backyard of our church, along with a really neat light display.  We will be served out there with cookies and hot chocolate after the candlelight services, there will be seven over three days.

(D.2) A LagniappeYellow Ford Mustang parked in Katy, TX, at the high school ball field.

(E) A Reflection/Persons on the Street:    A shiny maroon ball on the tree downstairs in the lobby from our cardiologist's office which is on the 27th floor.  A selfie of Mrs. Jim and me of sorts.
