The Letter "G" -- Weekend Roundup and Reflections
The thirty-second issue of Weekend Roundup for this year, 2020...
(THE SEVENTH LETTER FOR THIS SERIES)
- the Letter "G" Prompts are:
(A) Starts with the Letter "G";
(B) "Green" (Tom's Choice);
(C) A Favorite; and
(D) Reflections.
_ _ _ _
(A) Starts with the Letter "G": Garage is my "G" word for here. Our garage is meant for three cars but we have to much other stuff in front of the car on the left. That stall is tandem, one in front of the other.
The Green car is a 1974 Mustang II Ghia V6 and the Black is a 1998 Mustang GT V8 Convertible. They have 67,000 and 102,000 Miles respectively. I missed the new 1956 Ford Sunliner Convertible that I sold in 1957 when I went into the Army so I never got my 'top-down experience' satisfied. A Vespa scooter and a Honda motorcycle just didn't do it.
I bought the '74 as first owner as a Ford employee rental car with 32K miles for my Mom who wanted a stick shift. When she died in 1999 it came back to me. The other, the '98, I bought from as young lady in 2001 having 49K miles for my retirement present to myself.
Guess Lizzie will spend the rest of her life off-time in our driveway. She is a 2011 Cadillac DTS with 140K miles, just out of warranty. We are looking to retire her after finding a replacement.
p.s: We have not bought a new car in our 47 years of being married. People in education don't make a lot of $$$ and so buying lower mileage used well cared for cars has saved us lots.
(B) "Green" (Tom's Choice): We have two Oranges on our tree this year. Still Green, they are looking Good.
(C) A Favorite: Lots of Favorites here, there are several other pages. On this one Gallery, Google (2), and Google Play for "G's" reside.
(D) Reflections: This is a view from the Golf Cart I was riding on, it was the course where I used to play on Tuesdays before we moved closer to our youngest grandchild. That Tuesday I had lost my ball in the little creek to the left of that golf cart. Even though we lived beside another golf course this municipal one, Conroe, Texas, had become my favorite. But it closed the year after we moved.
The group I played with on Tuesdays was a group of about twenty men from Mrs. Jim's Sunday school class. Her age group is from age 60 and up although most are in their seventies with a few 80's.
