Good News / Bad News
(update on the Carrot couple and their kids):
(WARNING: read no further if you don't like dog jokes)
Mrs. Carrot: The kids found a dog today and brought him home. The good news is that it was free.
Mr. Carrot: That's good, but you don't look happy.
Mrs. Carrot: It had fleas ...
Mrs. Carrot: But we gave it a bath.
Mr. Carrot: That's good, but you still don't look happy.
Mrs. Carrot: It ran into a different room before we could dry it"
Mr. Carrot: So? ...
Mrs. Carrot: The dog is dry now.
Mr. Carrot: That's good, but you still don't look happy.
The next Bad News/ Good News is UP TO YOU. Please help keep this going through the comments.

Have you had your car read lately? #006 -- Looks like a nice fellow here
That's too pretty a Mustang to treat it badly? Is this car owner (not the rapper guy) feeding his car hot dogs?
That hot dog does look pretty good, it is a 'Johnsonville' wiener with lots of sweet relish and mustard.
This scene says wonders for the owner. He has good taste. (Reminds me of Charlie Tuna, in his commercial he says "we want tuna that tastes good, not tuna with good taste.")
Too, this driver has good taste in automobiles. Who wouldn't drool for this shiny black Mustang GT Convertible! He sure does keep it polished as well, that shows he is cool and collected and always wants to show his good side. He may not even have a bad side.
I don't see him listening to that rapper. This shows our driver has good taste in music, I hear his favorites are classic rock and oldies from the 60s and 70s. You just can't beat this fellow. Not even with a stick.
Now I'll show you what else I found.
Now we know where he is and where he 'buys' his hot dogs. Hot dogs are Free! I only see one so he doesn't over eat either. He must be tall and handsome and well disciplined with his eating. [Please note that I didn't say cheap. We do see that the second hot dog is regular price, 99¢.]
It isn't a JACK IN THE BOX hot dog, but rather a Quickstuff hot dog. I asked the owner if all Shell gas stations had free hot dogs on Friday (I was going to get one here and another one down the road at the next Shell station.).
The attendant said no, only the Shell stations with a Jack in the Box were having Free Hot Dog Fridays. She added that this Shell station was the only one in Conroe, Texas, having a Jack in the Box. Darn.
Now lets follow the fellow to the gas pump.
What has happened here, wasn't this supposed to be a Shell station?
Our driver is also prudent. Shell gas was $3.41 a gallon so our buddy drove his Mustang over to the Exxon station where it was only $3.37 a gallon. He was saving 48¢ on his gasoline!
Well, didn't he buy an exhorbantly high priced drink at one of those stops? No, our driver had brought his own canned Diet Coke in his cooler.
He really is prudent, he saved $1.47 on this gas and food purchase plus the price of a drink. I did note also that over by his home, gasoline was $3.45 and $3.49 a gallon at the Citgo or other Exxon stations.
I believe he is a winner.
Really good after that last few weeks of weirdos.
I saw a few cowboy churches and quite a few Hispanic churches. All are within a 35 mile radius of our home.

Carnage revisited
Today our Houston area is preparing for Hurricane Ike (remembering at least 1,956 deaths in 2005 from Katrina and Rita).

[This]-- A pig wearing lipstick [and That] Our preacher's birthday today
These toy pigs are gifts. My grandfather told me to "never look a gift pig in the mouth." So if they were wearing lipstick, I wouldn't know it because I don't look these pigs in the mouth.
Back when I was dating, I did meet some pigs wearing lipstick. Some of them were kind of after me, perhaps that's why I thought they were pigs.
These two pigs:
The one on the left is almost as old as I am, our Vet, Dr. Scott, gave it to me when I was very young. I have kept the pig and treasured it ever since.
The black and white pig is a gift from Mrs. Jim. She knows I like pigs (I talk to them quite often, they are very interesting to talk with, try it sometime) and this doorstop has a permanent place in our home now, right beside the front door.
Preacher's birthday:
The Jim Bunch is eating tonight at the church. For the preacher's birthday supper we are having fried catfish, hush puppies, French fries, cold slaw, salad, and desert.
Oh yes, and birthday cake. If I can get close I will count the candles for you. And take a picture.
[large size] [super sized] [large size] [super sized]
Well, I did get close and there WEREN'T ANY CANDLES.
I was told by a reliable authority that he is ... years old today. No, I can't tell you because maybe I am not supposed to tell. I didn't ask if I could so I won't tell.
I didn't get any cake either as I had to go to a meeting before it was cut.
