It was on the isle of [Ireland] that I met her, a real cow
.
[And here for a very large picture]
[Irish eyes are smiling?]
These guys are her buddies,
do they look worried about her?
.
Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn.
The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn.
Where is the boy that looks after the sheep?
"He's under the haycock, fast asleep."
Will you wake him? "No, not I;
For if I do, he'll be sure to cry."

Looking for the 20,000th here -- Headed for surgery
Will it be you?
Right now my SiteMeter is sitting at 19,994. Six more hits/clicks and it will be 20,000. That's quite a few since December, 2005.
.
Way back then, Rachel left my first comment, Cliff the second. They check in pretty regularly still. That's because they are loyal friends, not because of what or how I write. [I think Rachel peeked in a few minutes ago before I posted this!]
.
A lot check for something interesting and then don't leave a comment. I do like comments but that is probably an ego thing. I just about always comment on a new post I read unless I'm lurking and am hesitant to establish another relationship.

STATUS UPDATE:
.I'm headed for knee surgery ASAP.
First my cardiologist has to clear me for surgery.
Next my GP doctor will do his pre-op checkup.
Surgery will be screws, wires, and bone grafting, all to get the break grown back together again. The latest Xray showed the break had widened instead of healing.
Also, I'm headed for therapy on my sore finger that the emergency room doc in Ireland put pack in the socket. This will last about four weeks, three times a week. THIS IS GOING TO HURT, I KNOW!
If you really want, I'll draw a picture of my hurt finger. It is the middle long pointy finger on my left hand. I think you can get the picture.Tuesday, June 19, 2007
June Bug . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Yes, It's June Bug (2007)
.
.
We caught him! This is the mean little leprechaun who pushed me down the stairs while we were visiting in Ireland.
I ended up falling down a few very hard stairs. The fall knocked a finger out of joint and broke my right kneecap. I'm still recovering.
Read about that nasty incident (click here) on my May 26, 2007, blog.
The little June Bug leprechaun was found hiding out in a gift shop in Killarney.
We knew right away we could capture this little guy, kidnap him back to the states, and give him to our youngest granddaughter (GC#4 link). Then she would keep him locked forever with her collection.
.
.
Isn't her collection nice? I counted 25 here, there are a couple of duplicates.
.
.
.
.
She looks pleased, doesn't she? When her relatives travel, her first request for souvenirs is to bring her back snow globes from where we visited. We brought her six this time, five were from some of the states we had visited going and coming, then of course the captured leprechaun.
Here are the places she has in her collection:
Snow globe list
1. St. Petersburg
2. Paris
3. Seattle
4. Calgary Canada
5. Ireland
6. Tower Bridge London
7. Minnesota
8. Denver
9. Buckingham Palace
10. Whistler
11. Alabama
12. Chicago
13. Traverse City Michigan
14. Ohio
15. Arizona
16. San Francisco
17. Virginia
18. Iowa
19. Calgary Canada
20. New York
21. MGM Las Vegas
22. Kentucky
23. Pennsylvania
Her immediate goal is to be able to get them from every state in the Union. Later on she will concentrate more on the different countries and perhaps some logical collector themes.
Just in case you have one around that is collecting dust, you could mail it down to Texas. It would be most appreciated by this little lady!

We are in Texas, not Florida. Is there meaning to this?

All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.
