Friday’s Hunt v1.12 -- "L" is for ...
Friday's Hunt for the week of March 18 is (1) Starts with L, (2) Week's Favorite, and (3) Lace.
(1.a.) "L" is for Lifespan:
Calculate your lifespan remaining here at the link below.
I can't believe that mine is 99.8. Seems that I may have lived more "right" than I had been thinking. My Dad died at age 97 but they didn't even ask that. I do know that he lived more right than I did.
(1.b.) "L" is also for Louisiana.
We have been here for a week. When we made our plans one thing not in the plan was that of Mrs. Jim's cousin, Gracie's death.
Gracie lived near Hineston, Louisiana and her funeral was there.
What you see at the right is a 'box and cardboard factory' that we passed along the road. It smells just like a sawmill and gets the paper from trees like the lumber comes.
(2) Week's Favorite (made by KP the day of the funeral)
3. "L" of course is also for Lace.
There were a lot of laced items in this early 70's farmhouse belonging to
Gracie.
We stayed in her home then this weekend, but also unfortunately, we didn't know to take a picture of the laced items for the blog.

The Fine Print:
- Teresa of Eden Hills is running this meme, Friday's Hunt. She has three alternatives for us to post about but this one, Alphabet series, will be the one I will try to follow and post about. - Her rules are: "Welcome to linkup for Friday’s Hunt. It’s very simple. Anyone can participate. The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter."
- The Mr. Linky address here has a list of others who are participating if you would to read what these folk are doing for the Friday post

Hand drawn by KP:
"I'm sorry that your friend died.
The good now is that
God is piking her up today."
KP is in the first grade so I thought she did really good on this. We didn't ask for it or even mention to her the concept of 'sympathy cards.' It brought a little tear from me as I read it. Heart Warming."
This week we attended the funeral of Mrs. Jim's cousin. This week is also Spring Break at KP's school and so we are having her, our grandchild, while her parents are working. So this was KP's first funeral to attend. She wrote a similar card to Mrs. Jim as well.
