Before bed, a Friday Top Five
.
1. Table was set when I got there. Where is there? BTW, there are sixty-four place settings here.
.
2. It was 10:30, that's Ken standing in the serving window. He is an ex-Marine (WWII). He claimed he was there at six in the morning setting the tables. Sounds pretty gung-ho to me.
.
3. There is at the Conroe, Texas, Salvation Army dining room. I was serving lunch to about a hundred hungry people Friday noon.
4. These are four of the five other helpers. Left to right is Ellen, Annette, Sandy, and Ken. Not here yet was Cheryl. I finished out the crew of six. The four ladies worked the kitchen, Ken and I served the food.
.
5. I've done this before (link). I'm on Annette's standby list. Our church, the First Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas, serves two Fridays a month. The Salvation Army serves noon meals M-F and breakfast on Saturday morning.
.
Today the meal was Frito Pie, green beans, bread, dessert, and red punch. Several ladies brought pie earlier so about half of the group had pie, the rest had cake or cookies. Friday Friday Top Five Photos Army Salvation Army Food and Drink Food Friends Current Affairs Hungry
I'm tempted to show up there some Saturday morning. Just to check it out, I am thinking the food at breakfast will be really good. [Note, I'm not homeless or terribly poor, I just would like to check out the breakfast activitey.]

Noel has put your site in my favorites and now I am all finished with the list.
He has done such a good job.
Now I can just go down the list one at a time, and write to my friends.
This is such a nice post here. It sounds like you like to help people and that is so good.
After that, it will be a lot easier for you to just give them a little of God's word.
Well I better get back to bed as I have to get up in a few hours to head to work for a ten hour shift..
Take care my dear friend and blessings to you as you are doing work for your Master!......From Terry
Isaiah 55:11...so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplsih that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Tnaks for visit to my site.
Cheers Margaret
sounds like a nice lunch you served. Take care
