.

The sermon today was a shoe filler.

Right, there was no toe room left. That's why I'm carrying mine.

I couldn't get that carried away.

I am a little lost by what you mean as a Shoe Filler, but somehow I have a feeling it has something to do with a good blessing in church.

I did a google search, but couldn't find anything near to what you might be getting at but a google link back to your blog.

Good job this week. Like Bill, I'm not sure what a Shoe Filler is, but I sense the reason he is carrying his shoes has something to do with this...
Have a great week. Cheers!

Okay, guys, this is supposed to be fiction, right?

"Shoe filler" nicely gave me an even 140 characters. I had to have some reason for him to be carrying those shoes.
Ditto for the lady not getting too carried away by the sermon.

Similarly for the right on the left and the left on the right ends of the second line. Again, just a little poetic license taken in prose.
..

I figured he'd pretty much outgrown his shoes. I bet he only wears them when he absolutely has to.

When riding my Suzuki, I wear shoes...not much other times. And my feet are pretty good 'fillers' as they hold lots of water.

Enough about me...on YOUR blog!

I enjoyed your 140, and just take poetic license as it comes. My own definitions usually suffice.
Thanks for your participation, Jim.

Very clever use of shoe terms.

Clever play on words. Enjoyed it.

Shoe filler and toe room. Oh, I love this. Maybe I'll have to put my "Sole" into and try this meme so I can tapdance with the rest of you.

Oh, and I forgot to add that I think your submission is a "shoe in" this wk, Jim. :)

I loved the use of 'shoe filler'! Genius.

Have a great week x

Good catch, Jim. That's definitely a go-to-meetin' hat on the lady's head.

Okay, adding shoe filler to my dictionary of reactions to sermons.

This was a funny one, Jim. Great job.

Enjoy the week.

But maybe the songs were toe-tappers, at least, even if the sermon wasn't a shoe-filler.

I don't know what a toe filler is either but i liked your MF,
Maybe the sermon was big enough to fill his shoes so to speak!
Good job, you have us talking!

O.K. - your Micro-Fiction Monday made me smile. That's a great thing.

Your microfiction is making me think. That's a good thing :) Well done.

Oh well, maybe I'll get your next MFM! I worked in a shoe dept. for awhile and our shoe fillers were meant to make the shoes fit better. Not even close, huh?

Excellent my friend. I'm glad you put in the filler :) Have a great week :)

I came I read I want a piece of that pie.
Marilyn and I loved your cloud pic. You need to be forceful with those airline folks.

Nice one Jim. I might try this microfiction thing some Monday.
Ralph

That explains it all right! LOL

now that is a toe tapper!

I thought it was good Jim
