Maybe Tilly is fed up with her position and her co-workers and trying to kill two birds with one stone?
Tilly's heart was in the right place, although I've read that despite the initial flush of warmth, alcohol will actually lower your body temperature. So much for St. Bernards. :D
This looks like the 1930s, so definitely after Prohibition. I suspect Toddy and his passenger ended up in a world of hurt. Good one, Jim.
