Ruby (Pink) Tuesday -- Baby Quilts

These baby quilts are for the poorest mothers who are having babies in our local hospital.
Along with the blanket will come baby supplies for a month or so to help usher these children into the world.
They are a project of our Sunday school class, one widow lady does the majority of the work, others help sew or quilt, and the entire class helps financially.
The boy's quilt is this pattern.

The patterns change but the color scheme is universal, pink for baby girls, blue for the boys.

So far this year we have given out about thirty quilt packages.

I thought I'd tell you about the rules of RUBY TUESDAY.
They are real simple:
On Tuesdays you can post any photo you like (it must be one of your own) that contains the color RED.
Your photo can contain lots of RED or a little bit of RED
AND (please) post your link here with MaryT
I will might post a NEW Ruby Tuesday each some Tuesdays.

Hi Jim ~~ What a great idea and a wonderful job for all the workers and distributors to do this for young mothers who need a hand. Congrats to all involved. The quilts look lovely.

What a nice project for the community. They're beautiful. Happy Ruby Tuesday (and little boy Blue Tuesday as well!).

This pattern has been around for ever! My grandmother made me a quilt similar to this when I was a baby...and that's been a l-o-n-g time ago. Great photo.

The quilts are beautiful. It's an even better idea when you include other supplies with the gitft. God bless you.
The quilts are thoughtful gifts. And the great patterns look so nice and I'm sure the recipients appreciate these.

These are very beautiful quilts. While pink is not red, so not right for Ruby Tuesday, I can see your heart is really in this... and red is the color of the heart, so is your ticket in here, hahahaha.

Jim, I love that your church does this for new little babies! And Yes, indeed, it's Ruby (Pink) Tuesday for you!
Jim, I wanted to tell you I read that article about row houses. Row houses are all over Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. They are very well liked and popular here. But it is true they bring a lot more traffic... The very famous brownstones that are extremely expensive now are row houses.
