NO PEACE FOR ME IN JAIL. YES, ONCE AGAIN I AM HEADING OFF TO JAIL (picture at right courtesy of Wikipedia).
The word, Seeking, is prompted at One Single Impression
Seeking
I'm seeking some sunlight
I'm imprisoned again
still my sentence is light
and I'm here with my friends
My workload is not light
the food is awfully bad
there's no relief in sight
I think that I've been had
On trip to the prison
visited B-I-L
had Thanksgiving vision
rainy weather from Hell
we stopped at the Biltmore
no rooms for the wicked
Day's Inn will be once more
Charlotte traffic ticket
I could work off my fine
doing my job here on
Samaritan Purse time
wearing my wife's apron

Notes:
1. B-I-L is an acronym for Brother-in-Law
2. Biltmore is an old hotel near Asheville, N.C, USA
3. Samaritan Purse administers the ministry of Operation Christmas Child, an international relief organization headed up by Franklin Graham (link). I will be working on filled shoe boxes making sure that each one I inspect meets the organization's required standards of safety, content and theme, A SHOE BOX FULL OF HOPE FOR A CHILD.
4. We will not stay at the Day's Inn, I did not get a ticket, the work will be fun, and I won't be wearing Mrs. Jim's apron.
5. We will have Thanksgiving dinner with my BIL in Tennessee and we will visit the Biltmore.

The Biltmore is a beautiful place as is the country side surrounding it. I hope you find what you are seeking without going to jail. Have a nice Turkey Day.

Hi Jim, I liked your poem. Smooth rhythm and some usual wit. I like your Biltmore photo. Have been there several times and really like the Ashville area. My best, Rob.

I have a hard time with poetry. I rarely understand much of it. One of my professors in college said I was too logical in my thinking to allow the wonders of poetry to work. Whatever.
Have a terrific day. :)
