Mother's Day Lunch — Six Word Saturday —
My Six Words:
We ate good on Mother's Day
There are twelve Pappadeaux's in the Houston area. Their web site says:
"At Pappadeaux, we're all about fresh! Not fresh frozen. Not flown across the country last Tuesday fresh. We’re talkin' swimmin' around yesterday fresh."
We started with Pappa's Greek Salad for two:
"Our original salad tossed with fresh vegetables, imported kalamata olives, capers, solinika peppers, oregano & feta cheese in Pappas Greek Dressing, prepared tableside." [Their menu]
As shown on the left above, Mrs. Jim had the grilled Tilapia Lafatette,
"Grilled tilapia topped with fresh lump crabmeat, shrimp, tomatoes, capers & basil in beurre blanc, ... (on a bed of)spaghetti squash."
I had the Sampler Platter, right, above,
"Fried Gulf shrimp, crawfish & tilapia fillet, with French fries."
We ate off the "Lunch Menu" which had smaller portions than the regular dining menu. This was plenty for us, in fact, we ate so much that we could only eat half a desert. So we divided a Crème Brulée with fresh fruit.
The board above showed the kiddo's who were waiting for us some activity. I don't know what the winners of the coloring contest would win for a prize. We don't know of any 'winners' while we were there. The wait wasn't long, about 20 minutes. Good for Mother's Day lunch.
