~~ Friday’s Hunt v.2.25 -- "Y" is for ...
(A) "Y" is for Yellow:
Yellow Busses (and Cars)
and Yellow Mustard
(B) Week's Favorite:
This was taken of the waiting line at ToysRUs as we stood in for Black Friday opening at 6 PM Thanksgiving Evening. The line here is along the side of our Building, it started at the front doors in the middle around the corner, and would extend filling in along to our rear along the back of the building. We did buy some presents.
Note that before this we attended Black Friday at our local Penny's store. But we didn't get in as he lines were to long, these people were waiting for people to leave so that more would be allowed in.
This was all after we had Thanksgiving Day Dinner at Luby's Cafeteria. I had Chicken Fried Chicken and Mrs. Jim had their Turkey Dinner.
(C) Festive: [click on pictures for larger size viewing]
Christmas decorations are well under way around. Ours started the day after Halloween.
(D) Bonus -- "Sign Says":
Sign says, ... Click on the picture to enlarge if you need to see more clearly why this sign was necessary. Or is there some other problem? Duno.

I may not be able to post here every week and doubt I will be returning comments for some time. It could be I am locked in someones trunk or be hindered in some other way. I would, however, love for you to read my blogs and leave your nice comments.

~~ Friday’s Hunt v.2.22 -- "V" is for ...
(2) Week's Favorite: This would be Maggie. Maggie and Phil have been married about a year now. We count her as the newest in the family. Both graduated from college about a year ago. They live in Georgia and we weren't able to attend their wedding.

(1) Starts with "V": A slice, wedge shaped, of Pumpkin Pie (most any pie slice for that matter). Mrs. Jim made the pumpkin pie at the cabin from the ingredients she had brought, before we ate.
We were in north Louisiana for BIL's, Royce's, Birthday Party. It was a BIG numbered birthday.
(3) Thankful: For our family and for everyone to have a safe drive home.
When the fire needed stirring or more logs added KP would call "Cowboy". Cowboy is her second cousin, another Phil, retired after serving 26 years in the Air Force. Phil is Royce and Velma's (Mrs. Jim's sister) son. KP had never met anyone who wears a cowboy hat.
The party was at a state park in north Louisiana. It is about a six hour drive from our home. We have stayed there before and have had several family reunions in one of the lodges.
One of the activities was a scavenger hunt in the woods. Here is Cowboy Phil and KP on the right in the picture on the right. This was in the back yard of our cabin and Lake D'Arbonne was behind.

~~ Friday’s Hunt v1.26 -- "Z" is for ...
Friday’s Hunt for the week of June 24th
1. Starts with Z
2. Week's Favorite
3. Today
1. The letter "Z" is for Zigzag. Hardly anything in this world is straight. It curves or is irregular. One of the more common irregular routing takes form as Zigzag.
On our recent cruise (NYC to London) we were starting with the 'great circle' concept which provides the shortest distance. But we had to deviate and Zigzag some for passenger safety. The most notable of these was jogging to the south and east to get around an iceberg field off the coast of Newfoundland. Even though we traveled wide open to catch up, that detour made us three hours late into Reykjavik, Iceland.
2. This week's favorite is in memory, of my recent travels, of London. The garden pictures are ones I too while visiting Regents Park. We walked there from Oxford Square.
The 'Ferris Wheel' is the famed Big Eye along the Thames, which is also the river in that picture. It was a fun walk down from Vauxhall.
3. Today, our back yard garden and pool
Today completes the alphabet from A to Z. I've done them all, I hope Teresa will start us over.

Transporting means ~~ Friday’s Hunt v1.25-- "Y" is for ...
2. Week's Favorite; and
3. in my shoes.
I have no idea of the tractor's heritage and did not have the time nor the means, wifi time, to check with Google. You may want to shed more light on it in the comments below.
.These old shoes have been with me through a lot. They've been to dozens of states and almost as many countries. I once left them in Iowa (link) and had to change my life for a while. They've sttod with me, holding me up when I feel like falling. Cheerful, them, they feel sorry for me when I might want to cry. Too, they literally stomp when I heartily laugh.
Update!! Update!! We came home this evening around 7:30. We took a cruise from New York City to London, leaving home May 31 and arriving in Dover, U.K. on June 15. It was very, very, nice. We rode over on the Pacific Princess ship.
Our ports of call were Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada), three stops in Iceland, and two more in Scotland. Then we spend two more nights in London and went North to see a couple in Northampton who we had met on another cruise. I will blog about our travel in the future.

3. Wet (0r water)
Here are some pictures, one of a highway sign support (over the roadway) and the others where they are used in bridge construction.
Oh yes, I'm still out of pocket. Maybe next time?
You might want to name it or mention of what it reminds you.

Our Police Chaplin ~~ Friday’s Hunt v1.22-- "V" is for ...
(1) Starts with V: "V" is for Volunteer. Our Sunday school teacher, Dr. Charles Wisdom is a Volunteer with the Fulshear, Texas, Police Department. He serves as the Police Chaplin. Some tease him of having special driving and legal privileges.
As a teasing joke, a few of our members doctored up a picture of Dr. Wisdom's car by putting a big sign on it, reading "Fulshear Police." After a bit of fun during pre-class time it was admitted that his car actually didn't have this sign. Rather it was doctored up by clever usage of a photo editing program.
As you can see in the picture, Charles really enjoyed the photo which was presented to him.
(2) Week's Favorite: An Aggie experiment. Students, graduates, and staff at the Texas A&M College have a reputation of not having everything just exactly right. These students and graduates are called "Aggies". Aggies are the butt of many unkind jokes hinting of a less than 'normal' intelligence concerning everyday situations.
There is an Aggie joke saying that some Aggie graduates were having trouble concerning the growing of chickens. Since none of the chickens planted seemed to be growing, one brilliant graduate decided to call his college professor.
When told of the problem, the professor asked how they were planting these chickens. "Feet first" was the graduate's response, whereby the prof quickly and wisely responded, "Why don't you try planting them 'heads down'?"
As I snapped this picture I was reminded of the Aggie joke above. It may be an Aggie clandestine operation of growing children. Clearly these kids are planted 'head first.'

This little rabbit is grazing in the sunshine. We have a very good rabbit crop this summer. They come and go in and out of our yard, back and front.
Since dogs here are required to be on leash and rabbits are a protected species in Katy most live a long life.
