Sorry about having to recycle this blog agin for Saturday Six Words. We are on the road and won't be able to post anything else for it. But it is good stuff to know about me?
Does that make things better?
my Six Words
Comment returns will be sluggish today
[you could try guessing the reason]
.
1. Flip Flops
Spring is time to get out your flip flops. Or to buy some new ones. There is no doubt here which ones are for the girls and which for the boys.
2. What is the purpose of having goat?
Below is a goat on the farm we helped with visiting city youth last Saturday. Goats are for petting. So was their beagle (see a week ago Thursday's post below or click here for a description of some of that fun).
3. Fishing
Also Saturday, here is a picture of the second fish that I ever caught in my life. It came from the lake on our left. And it went back in after the picture. The hook did not have a barb so the fish wasn't hardly hurt at all.
4. A nice wedding
Saturday evening we attended a wedding of the son of a friend of ours and his lovely new bride. I like outside weddings. This is a lovely looking couple, they both are tall.
Cutting the cake is one of the my favorite wedding activities. One this on we ate very nice too after the ceremony. It was light, cheeses, fruits, and shrimp. But one can fill up on that too. We all had a big plate full.
5. Family Promise
This Tuesday night Mrs. Jim and I stayed at the church with a three young adult families who are 'clients' of our Montgomery County Family Promise.
These families are currently without a home and so they rotate staying in local churches for one week at a time. At this time there are about fourteen churches participating.
Here Mrs. Jim and two of the ladies from her Sunday school class are solving the problems of the world. The parents were putting their children to bed now. On this night the lady on the right and her husband will spend the night at the church with the families.
On the right we are back to Mrs. Jim's and my night, only it is morning. Not too many days do I wake up at six to see pretty sunrise views like this.

Does that make things better?
Describe your life (or something) in a phrase using just six words for Six Word Saturday. Click the box at right to visit Cate's blog with Mr. Linky showing all the other blogs participating this week. Cate is the boss at Six Word Saturday. She would like for you to participate.
Don't forget that May is Hamburger Month. I've had another since last Thursday, this time it was a $1.00 MacDouble from MacDonald's instead of Beck's Prime.

beautiful couple, love hearing that the fish get to return to their mates, cute goat, here they graze keeping fields and municiple areas trimmed, beautiful sunset!
The photo of vows looks a little magical.
My favorite part though - is the thought goats are for petting and so was their beagle.
That's a Truth if there ever was one.
Thank you for your five,

What a gorgeous couple -- looks like a nice ceremony and reception. Thanks for joining in again Jim. Nice to learn more about you.
That couple should be on the cover of a magazine -- gorgeous people! I loved the goat part too, yes, I agree -- goats are for petting :)
You've sure been busy -- enjoy some rest!

What a series of delightful moments! Life is good, and so are all the people and animals that travel with us! Enjoy your weekend!
I love random posts, lots of fun stuff about what you've been doing. I'm glad you and Mrs. Jim enjoy so many activities, it keeps you young!
Lots to see on that post Jim!I loved the wedding shots, the bride looks stunning and the groom is handsome too, they make a smashing couple.
I was intrigued by the church and the families,it sounds great that people are willing to help others that are in need.
And the 'fish' that made me really grin, you'll be catching Jaws next!
Wishing you and Mrs Jim a lovely week,Jess x
