Starts with "D":   Damage starts with "D, we had multiple tornados damages this Tuesday in the Houston area.  It went along the ground for miles and miles.  This was all on the other side of Houston, about 30 miles to the East of us.

A FavoriteDrive-in restaurants in general.  Their popularity has diminished after the 1970's when air conditioning has made eating so much more comfortable on hot summer nights.  This is the Prince Drive-In in Houston, which closed for quite some time, they had delicious hamburgers.  Attempts are being made to rebuild the concept and delicious food, same name.   We'll probable stop there again if it gets going okay.

Back in the 1950's Drive-ins were very popular, the Circle Drive-In in Lincoln, Nebraska was my favorite back when I first had a car.  The building was round, with parking head-in all the way around.  Carhops would take our orders and deliver the food.  We were free to mingle with other eaters, it was a young people hang out.  I liked their hamburgers too, my Favorite there was the Barbecue Burger.

Tom's suggestion, "Dull":  This knife isn't really Dull but they get that way after they are used for a long time or be dulled by cutting something that wasn't meant to be cut with a knife.  I wanted to show the pocket we got it in Switzerland for its corkscrew blade but this one will do.  Mrs. Jim keeps it in a kitchen island, I don't know its history.

A Lagniappe 1:  These Ducks were around us when I took the Reflection photo below.  They tried me for a tasty toss-out with no luck and now they are headed towards Mrs. Jim.  To the right is the little flood control Drainage Ditch and the foot bridge.

Did you notice the ducks along the bank.  Should be turtles sunning also near.

Reflections and/or Street Photos/Candid Captures:   It is hard to tell what is a shadow and what is a Reflection.  The Ducks show well here.  At nine o'clock in the photo is a Duck flying towards me.  It didn't stop though but rather flew across the street a half mile away behind me.

Getting necessities before running far

A Lagniappe 2:   When you're running away be sure to take your faithful dog with you.  It will love walking with you but if you'll let it ride in your shopping cart and it'll love you for doing that.

A Lagniappe 3:  Country I've visited that start with "D" is Denmark

...wow, DAMAGE is something that I never gave any thought to. Take care Jim and stay well.

I’ve never been in a tornado, although I saw the green sky around one from a distance. The damage is very sad.

The amount of damage is dreadful Jim I love the reflection image as well as the shadows in that shot. I thought you would be able to see the drops of water from the rain on my lens Jim in 2 of my images on todays post. Have a great wwek ahead

The forces of nature show us who is really the boss. I think those ducks know who the soft touch is!!
