Katrin loves chocolate -- Sunday night / Monday morning -- Good dog Adi

[large picture] [extra large]

This little dog wouldn't hurt a flea. But she is really a nut tracking down the chocolate she loves.

Below is what is left of the Christmas wrapping that she tore off. Next her plan was to nibble down the corner of he box until she hit pay dirt chocolate.

Then there is Adi. She has never tasted chocolate. We did give her grapes when she was very young but then we found out that they were bad for her too.

Isn't she a sweet dog!

Elevator adventure -- Sunday night / Monday morning -- This and that

This one was on my other....................The characters: .........
.other blog this Sunday (link)
Karen, our daughter .......
[Click on any picture to enlarge] ..

Stuck between floors;
..... what is a Dad to say

Got this text message
from our daughter.
"KP and I are stuck
on the elevator at BP's school.
The Fire Marshall is coming."

.

Baby KP asleep in elevator

So what is a Dad to say?
"I fed KP a bottle
and we are staying calm.
I hear them
(Fire Marshall?)."

Momma said
"This is terrible, poor baby."
So what is a Dad to Say?

Dad, the retired professor
spoke in some riddles.
About blowing the curve
and how many have been stuck
there before.

BP practicing for her performance

What is a Dad to say?
About being the norm or to excel
and extolling about our BP,
grandchild who is so smart,
waiting at bottom of the stair.

This doesn't fit the model
of book learning I've been taught.
I am afraid the curve has broken,
what is a Dad to say?
.
Momma Karen and KP .

"We are out!" and Momma said
"Praise the Lord!"
What is a Dad to say?
Momma said it best.

Note: This elevator ordeal lasted 36 minutes Saturday. Karen was calm all the time. So was KP after having her bottle. The firemen had to pry the doors open and lift KP and her stroller out. Then they helped Karen up and out.

They say this happened in Houston:
A policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders but wasn't getting many.
Then he discovered the problem. A youngster was up the road holding a sign, "RADAR AHEAD."
The cop a little then found his accomplice down the street with a sign, "TIPS." He had a bunch of money in his bucket.

Men's Tip of the Month:
The way to having a perfect marriage is to always say, "yes Dear" and "you are right."

Adi said: "We need titles here" -- Sunday night / Monday morning -- Adi can play in the grass

We will run a little contest here. Here are the simple rules:

1. Give each picture a title.

2. Vote for your favorite pose and tell why. (Adi didn't suggest doing this, I did.)

3. After about a week or so I will 'close the contest' and either name the winners or get a vote going.

4. There won't be any tangible prizes.

A Blonde Joke -- Sunday night / Monday morning funny

Got this e-mail from a friend:

This blonde decides one day that she is sick and tired of all
these blonde jokes and how all blondes are perceived as stupid. So, she decides to show her husband that blondes really are smart.

While her husband is off at work, she decides that she is going to paint a couple of rooms in the house.. The next day, right after her husband leaves for work, she gets down to the task at hand.

Her husband arrives home at 5:30 and smells the distinctive smell of paint. He walks into the living room and finds his wife lying on the floor in a pool of sweat.. He notices that she is wearing a heavy parka and a leather jacket at the same time. He goes over and asks her if she if OK.

She replies yes. He asks what she is doing and she replies that she wanted to prove to him that not all blonde women are dumb, and she wanted to do it by painting the house. He then asks her why she has a parka over her leather jacket.

She replies that she was reading the directions on the paint can and it said
"FOR BEST RESULTS, PUT ON TWO COATS."

This Blonde Joke was toted as being the "best blonde joke ever."
.
It's good but I don't think that good??

Not so funny, Baby Dedication and a roll-over -- Sunday night / Monday morning funny

[large picture] [super sized]
From left to right: Billy, Karen, BP, Baby KP (in front)

Today, October 11, 2009, was Baby Dedication for Baby KP. As you can see, this is a family affair with the whole church promising to back the family up. The family promises to raise the child dedicated to God in a manner of teaching and showing by example what it means to be a Christian.

There were 47 dedicated today, they do this two times a year. You can see there was no space up front for the grandparents. But you can be assured we were present in the congregation.

[large picture] [super sized] [large picture] [super sized]

The stage at the church is a full 360 circle. There is not front or back. Behind the families and infants the choir circles the stage standing on steps.

The picture on the right is taken in the nursery area. The 'nursery lady' for babies to age two said she had 270 in attendance today. Church membership total for all five campuses is over 50,000 members. Karen and Billy's church, the "West" campus in Katy, Texas, seems to have it's 10,000 portion. The place was packed today. (Second Baptist Church, Houston -- link)

This second portion really isn't too blogworthy except that my little Camera, a pocket sized Sony W-55 7.2 MegaPixel, just rolled over in the count.

The picture on the left is # 9,999 and the one on the right is 10,001. I erased # 10,000 as it didn't know what it was something to save and the picture wasn't good.

On the left is the overhead monitors for the auditorium.

On the right is Dr. Ed Young preaching this morning at the Second Baptist Church Houston Texas at the Katy, Texas, Campus. He may be on some of your TV stations with his program.

A dog story -- about the dog who came to visit us kids at school one day -- Sunday night / Monday morning funny

For my Sunday night reprieve, and repast, I'll tell you about the large brown dog who came to school on day during our noon lunch break.

It was a very pretty dog; all of us kids (all seven or eight in that one room school house) petted it. The teacher said be careful as the dog looked a little scruffy.

But this dog was so cheerful and wanted some loving that us kids could give him or her. And it did love us in return for our love, and partly for the lunch scraps we gave it.

Just about time for the end of noon recess, which was eat and then go outside and play tag or any-I-over, the dog decided it to poop.

And poop and poop that dog did. His (ladies don't have these problems do they) poop was bright yellow, very large in volume, and you know, I don't think it smelled bad.

The entire poopy mess there in the schoolyard was yellow. Mustard yellow.

Now kids like to give their pets enduring names. To this day those of us who get together to relate old times with who ever will gather with us call this dog "The Mustard Dog."

I may have found Mustard Dog again. He would be very old by now, especially in dog years. But Diane, my blogging friend in New Jersey, found a large yellow mess a couple of days ago on the sidewalk. Of course when a blogger finds something so worthy of passing along his knowledge on the subject he blogs about it.

You can click here to see the pile she found. Even though Mustard Dog would be extremely old now, this might be his dirty work. And since the pile Diane found is so much smaller--old dog size--than the one us kids watched being prepared, perhaps, just perhaps Mustard Dog still lives and has moseyed up there to New Jersey

.
My fitting cartoon for the Monday.

Sunday night / Monday morning funny

He: Thank you for all your help.

She: Oh that's okay. You don't have to ask.

He: Thanks again, I didn't ask.

She:
Ha ha.

Sunday night / Monday morning funny

The couple came to the pastor for marriage counseling. They wanted a divorce.

After the pastor figured out they were 93 years old he asked if they were sure.

Yes, they were sure. They had been waiting a long time for this.

The pastor asked why, since they had been married 70 years they would want this.

We were waiting for our kids to die. The news would have been too hard on them.

Sunday night / Monday morning funny

SENIOR LADY DRIVING

Two elderly women were out driving in a large car - both could barely see over the dashboard. As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection.

The stoplight was red, but they just went on through. The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself 'I must be losing it I could have sworn we just went through a red light.'

After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection and the light was red. Again, they went right through.

The woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that she was losing it. She was getting nervous.

At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was red and they went on through.

So, She turned to the other woman and said, 'Mildred, did you know that we just ran through three red lights in a row? You could have killed us both!'

Mildred turned to her and said, 'Oh, crap, am I driving?'

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The next time I run a red light I am going to say that!

I thought this was funny, it came in an e-mail from my SIL
