Letter "D" - Friday's Weekend Roundup 08 / Reflections and-or Street Captures

Week's Prompts
Starts with "D"; A Favorite; "Dawn"; and Reflections and-or Street Captures
  _ _ _ _

Starts with "D":  would be Dead.  A hawk, a vulture??, flew in and was getting a fresh meal out in the middle of our street from a dead animal that a car must have run over.

I was hiding behind a brick column on our garage overhang but it must have seen me so it flew away.

A Favorite:   This is Dutch, KP's new kitten.  It is the second pet our granddaughter has had.  He is a rescue cat of the Russian Blue breed.  Her first pet was a fish named Betsy who lived at our house.

"Dawn":  Houston in the morning coming in from our suburb, Katy.  Most mornings have low clouds due to our proximity of the Gulf of Mexico.  The clouds generally burn off by ten.

Sometimes there is also fog at Dawn.  Sunrise was at 7:13, this picture was taken at 7:18, the top one was before sunrise at 6:57.  This is U.S. Hwy 59 and/or Interstate 69, running from Mexico to the Great Lakes.

Reflections and-or Street Captures:   Weird

Lagniappe No. 1:  At noon, some of the haze is still there.  This is NOT pollution, Houston wouldn't be having that.  We used to, out by the ship channel really bad chemical stuff.

This bottom picture is at the edge of the Houston Museum District with 19 museums around that area (Houston has over 150 Museums total, come visit some -- Visitor Information site link) and the Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Lagniappe No. 2
:  The Country, just one, I've visited that starts with the Letter "
D": would be Denmark (two times, once driving in 2009 and again in 2010 on a Baltic Sea cruise)
