New grandchild picture — Six Word Saturday — June Bug srikes again!

My six words: "What in the world is this?"

but first, another grandchild picture:

By now most of you readers know KP, our grandbaby KP. Here she is all ready for a taking a walk with her mother, Karen. This was not taken at the beginning of their eight plus mile walk. No, it was in the middle. Karen said she was still smiling at the end too!

Their destination was four plus miles away. When they reached this place they refreshed and headed back. Since this is Spring break, KP took a break day from her nursery school and Karen took a break from her work. It all was for a fun day in the Texas sun.

It's a June Bug!

No, it's March Bug!

It beats me what in the world this thing is. If you know, please tell me in your comment. The white lead has plugs on both end so I do know it is electrical.

Happy St. Patrick's Day — MidWeek Blues Greens — Things not on my shopping list

[large picture] [extra large]

None of the stuff on these shelves was on my list. Some looked good, others I had never even heard of. But if one came looking for Irish things to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day there wouldn't be any problem finding them.

An odd thing though, there is only one of most of these items on the display. Do you suppose ... ?

At any rate, I didn't buy any thing like these pictured here.

This is my shopping list. No, I did not have any green shamrock sugar cookies on my list.

Did I buy one then? No, I did not buy any green shamrock sugar cookies.

This Kroger in-the-store-baked cookie was free, a gift for the customers.

What WAS on my list? Only four items, cooking sherry, a cantaloupe or some canned chunk pineapple, a box of plastic wrap, and some half and half for coffee. We were to entertain at our home for Gourmet Dining, an activity planned by the ladies' organization.

This is the Killarney Castle (Ireland) where I kissed the Blarney Stone on two different holiday vacations. For some more words about me kissing the Blarney Stone, please click here. The last one has an explanation in case you haven't read it before or want to review.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo picture on the right. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did.
Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE, you don't have to write.

Cuisine Kathleen is having a sharing of the green party. She likes to post about eating, food, dishes, and stuff but has invited all kinds of greenery posts to link today. I think she would like to eat with our Jim Bunch Eats too.

60,000 and counting

My visitor No. 60,000 this morning (Mar 15 2010) at 9:10:20 am!!

That's not a lot for quite a few bloggers but it is doing great for this blog (and me).

The picture at right is what I think she looks like! (previously posted here) If you are the actual--or wanna be-- No. 60,000 send me a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) and I will mail you an autographed picture of Mr. Tin Man and myself that I use as a profile picture.
You can e-mail for my address. (jhovendic [at] yahoo.com).

My other blogs have some more for me, although not nearly that many. JIM'S LITTLE PHOTO AND POEM PLACE (link) is next with 14,258 as I write this. Ask Dr. Jim (blog) (link) is a third with 9,560 comes in third. I have neglected the latter lately but hope to get it more active soon.

I might quit writing when it hits 100,000. My dad used to stop driving his cars when they got that high of a mileage. He died before Mom's Mustang II got this high. I have it now, with 68,000 miles.

Question: Did your basketball team make the Final 64 last night? My team, the University of Houston Cougars did! They are seeded # 13 in the Midwest Bracket.

Congratulations too go to Coach Tom Penders. This is the fourth different team he has guided to the Finals.
