Tale of Three Angels — Six Word Saturday

Three little angels have a tale

Angel # 1:

This is our youngest granddaughter, Baby KP. This picture, as so many of KP, has a story. This is the first time she has held her bottle while drinking.

Of course Mrs. Jim and I think she is precocious to be doing that at age four months and three weeks. And aren't cell phones wonderful, their cameras can catch history in the making. Now if I just knew how to use mine--it blinks 12:30 constantly.

Tonight (Friday) we are staying with Karen, Billy, and KP. We are here for breakfast Saturday morning. It is special, KP's FIRST Breakfast With Santa! Of course we will take pictures.

Next is a fallen angel. She fell on the way to church, no less. Before she fell she was encapsulated in a snow globe/wind-up music box. The box still plays "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" though you can shake the Dickens out of her but there won't be any snow flakes. A little broken glass, perhaps.

Mrs. Jim bought her when we were newlyweds about 37 years ago. Mrs. Jim is very prudent and of course she bought it on an 'after Christmas sale' so she could save a lot of money.

At the Ladies Fellowship Luncheon Mrs. Jim was responsible for setting and decorating one table for eight. The fallen angel was slated to stand as part of the decoration but somehow she jumped off our couch onto a Persian rug. The glass globe couldn't take the shock.

Angel # 3:

Angel # 3 has found herself a boy friend. He is a cute one although he keeps weird work hours since he is in Santa's Nutcracker Service. I remember when I was in the Army and had to stand guard. Guard duty is a 24/7 type duty. The only reason that I could tolerate it was that we all got the next day off.

She should have a name but for the life of me I can't figure out what to call her. Her maker did not give her a name. Come to think of it, the boyfriend nutcracker guy doesn't have a name either.

TGF! I am really glad it's Friday! — MidWeek Blues — Question: What is this thing?

Answer in a bit.

[large picture] [extra large]

We've been doing some remodeling of our house as you might know from the earlier posts.

The major one was the redoing the floors in the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, living room, and the study (Mrs. Jim's music room). The first two got new tile, the other three rooms got engineered wood.

This blue ball was used by the wood layers to dispose of their surplus blue masking tape. See the pictures below.

Making of the blue masking tape ball:

LEFT: The making tape is temporary to secure in place the first ones down to use as a straight reference for the following.

CENTER: The ball in relation to the floor and a trash can.

RIGHT: A roll of blue masking tape the guys used. Please note it is laying on the previously done (replacement) kitchen and breakfast room. So you can see what our new kitchen tile looked like.

Doing the floors on our part was easy and hard. Easy was to pick out the products. Well not too easy, really.

Hard was the moving all the light objects and light furniture out of those rooms. A lot went into the garage, upstairs in the game room and guest room, into my office and into our bedroom. Then it all had to be put back.

I am glad it is Friday. I will tell good things on Saturday.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo picture on the right. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did. .
Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE, you don't have to write.
