Letter "X" -- Friday's Weekend Roundup and Reflections and/or Street/Candid Captures
Letter "X" -- Friday's Weekend Roundup and Reflections and/or Street/Candid Captures
This Week's Prompts: Has an "X" Your choice. Looks like "X.
Has an "X": "REXULTI" has an "X", it is a calming medicine.
My Choice: REXULTI also keeps your elderly mother or grandmother from sleep walking.
Looks like an "X": Come out the door of this New Orleans cathedral, imagine you are at the upper left arm of the letter "X", and cross the street towards the lower right leg of the X to the sidewalk on the other side.
You will be facing the Coffee and French donut shop called "Cafe du Monde". Have some donuts, called there as Beignets.
BTW, the word Beignets is pronounced "Ben Yays". They go really good with coffee.
I don't call them "donuts" because I don't eat donuts, not since 2013. Neither do I classify Apple Fritters as donuts.
. . .
From a google search for "what are flat French donuts called in New Orleans?":.

For James, Reflections and/or Street/Candid Captures: Oops, I got caught. Sure glad we know the other, they didn't mind.

My Claim
NOTE: This poem is also to be found on my other blog, "Jim's Little Photo and Poem Place." I have started writing there earlier, I do not intend as my rule to have many more posted here.
I Claim "Hotel California"
. . .
Please play the song and tap your feet
You'll find yourself at the Hotel
Worked best for me driving my car
I'm feeling sorry for the guest
In a trap he didn't ask for
When you need a mood play the song
Put your feet in the singer's place
Feel sorry for him in a trap
Can check out but he can not leave
Play it loud, shake your car mirrors

- For this week, we were invited to "think of a piece of music which warms your heart whenever you happen to hear it played, and tell us what this particular piece has meant to you in your life. "
That was hard for me until I remembered all the times I've listened to "Hotel California" by The Eagles.
