    The Friend I Miss

We met there on the bridge one early morn
Admired your beauty always when I passed
Always thinking of the hard life you had
Friend my dear I miss you now very much

You've gone away I'm guessing in the morn
You were laying there lifeless on the side
Brave, you died a death you never deserved
Each time I pass I pause and wonder why

I miss the sight, you watching for a bite
Did you have a family I'll never know
No grave no flowers just a few will mourn
Count me one to ponder each time I pass

A Favorite: Early Bird catches the l saw this bird almost always crossing over the lake on the way home, even on early mornings.  One morning when I came back home, all there was a pile of feathers.  Never again will we be treated by that bird.

Even number total count for the nines and the sixes

Tom's choice, "Even"  Even numbers can bring smiles.  By definition and observation, ALL EVEN NUMBERS are DIVISIBLE BY TWO.   And if not we call them ODD numbers.

We use the odd and even numbers very often.  Street Numbers.  Almost always as we drive down the street, the addresses begin with Even on one side and the other's are Odd numbers.

I am partial to Even even though our side has the odd numbers and I don't remember ever living in an even numbered house.
