It's time for my Christmas tree blog again this year. Today will be the sevententh when I post it, I started December 05, a Tuesday.   Click here to see them for 2023-2 (part 2) and Here for 2023-1 (part 1).

Starts with "Y":  Yummy stuff, a gift from a nice neighbor.

A Favorite:  This is Mrs. Jim's favorite decoration for the season, he is her Santa's helper.  Her college was LSU but it is hard to get LSU stuff here around Houston.

He stays either under our tree or on the hearth.  We got him a few years ago at an After Christmas sale in Houston.  One side of his sales tag says "Handmade" and the other's said "Made in China".

Tom's suggestion, "Yak":   The Coasters, Yakety Yak.  This song was an original hit in 1958.  It was one of my favorites.

The Coasters Yakety Yak singing Lyrics 👇
Take out the papers and the trash Or you don't get no spendin' cash If you don't scrub that kitchen floor You ain't gonna rock and roll no more
Yakety yak (don't talk back) Just finish cleanin' up your room Let's see that dust fly with that broom Get all that garbage out of sight Or you don't go out Friday night Yakety yak (Don't talk back)
You just put on your coat and hat And walk yourself to the laundromat And when you finish doin' that Bring in the dog and put out the cat
Yackety yack (Don't talk back) Don't you give me no dirty looks Your father's hip, he knows what cooks Just tell your hoodlum friend outside You ain't got time to take a ride Yackety yack (Don't talk back)
Yakety yak, yakety yak Yakety yak, yakety yak Yakety yak, yakety yak

Reflections and/or Street/Candid Captures:  The top photo has the "banked" turtles reflection in the water. Not to brag about, the water was rippling.

The lower picture shows the heads of three buddy turtles swimming.  Can you see them?  There might be another two or more.

The turtles hang out around the bridge was standing on, it's our favorite walking path.
