Holiday Greetings! — MidWeek Blues — More Family Dinner

Merry Christmas!

This nice nativity scene is in the front yard
of a down-the-street neighbor's home.

(And a lot of blue for MW Blues)

This year our group came on Sunday before Christmas. We ate upstairs in the game room. I'll not name them, but from left to right are a DIL, two sons and a daughter, SIL, my empty spot, Mrs. Jim, son, friend of granddaughter, and the tree granddaughters.

Missing are the parents of KP who would come later, a granddaughter who couldn't come, a DIL who couldn't come, and a grandson and his wife who live in California. KP spent the night with us and went to church in the morning with us.

From left to right:
The Sunday Christmas dinner. I have a couple of ham slices hiding under the turkey. Mr. Jim's menu is available upon request. We had turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, candied sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberries, fruit and lettuce salads, green beans with browned onion fries, rolls and bread, three different kinds of pie, and chocolate brownies.
After Christmas dinner. The next day I made me a nice turkey sandwich and leftovers plate. The olives were not served on Sunday. I had already taken a bite of the turkey sandwich to make sure it would be good.
Right away after Christmas dinner. The bunch went downstairs to relax and exchange a few gifts. Some of us were still cleaning our plates upstairs.

We had a very nice family Christmas get-together this year. We try to have the kids up every year, we miss a few. And not everyone can always be here either every time.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo picture on the right. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did. .
Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE, you don't have to write.

Grandchildren -- Ruby (Red) Tuesday -- More pictures from Grandpa

Three Grandchildren

[large picture] [extra large]
.
Here we have KP, Jenna, and Meg. Missing are BP and Timothy. We will get to visit with BP on Christmas day. All five children did make it and have a very nice visit. We have a large part of our family over for the annual (most years) Christmas dinner.

Perhaps for Thursday I will put a few more pictures of their visit. I did not take very many.

KP is wondering if they aren't
supposed to be tied up instead of her?
.

And, "Adi, are your going to get as close as Katrin did?

Most of you know that Adi is also a grand. She is our granddog and she belongs to Karen (Adi Meme). Guess that makes her and KP and BP sisters?
