Cold in Duluth -- MidWeek Blues -- Happy Birthday Sister!

My favorite (and only) sister, Lois

My sister, Lois, is celebrating her birthday! She is standing on the first cement pad waiting for the ship to come into the ship canal at Duluth, Minnesota.

She called me from that pad to let me know that she should be on the Web Cam. You can watch the ships come if you'd like, click here.

This is what Iowa people do for relaxation. They need rest from all the excitement there in Iowa, the place "where the excitement begins" as stated on the welcome signs when you drive in.

Her green jacket is a heavy one for cold weather. I have one like it. We call it our green Pioneer jacket. Dad sold Pioneer Seed Corn for quite a while and he gave us these jackets for Christmas one year.

I do hope Lois gets down here to Texas this winter when it is really cold up North.

Last year's picture below. Click here for the whole last year's blog.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo here. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did.
.
Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE, you don't have to write.

Happy Birthday, Lois. It looks very cold in MN.

I hope Lois gets to warm up in TX this winter too. Do you go to visit her to cool off in summer? Sounds like a good plan. The web cam is pretty neat. I'm going to check it out some more, maybe watch a ship?

Happy birthday, Lois!

You baking her a cake, Jim? Doesn't sound like she likes to cook much.

Jim, this is a great, fun post! I love web cams! Your sister looks like a lot of fun too! I have a kitchen because it came with the house too! Thanks for your GREEN suggestion for dusting the house - much better than my homemade treated dust cloths! LOL! :)sne

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday Dear Lois,
Happy Birthday to you.

Have a terrific day Jim. Big hug. :)

Dear Jim,
your sister looks very much like you, the same smile and the same glimpse in the eyes.
..So her kitchen came with the house.. Lucky for her.

Do you know who else is born in Duluth Minnesota?
I know. Mr Bob Dylan.
I might go there on pilgrimage, if it were not too weird.
From Felisol

I see a family resemblance!

Lois is my middle name. Lois was my mother's name.

So, tell your sister, Lois, I will trade her. I love to cook and a kitchen didn't come with my house. I got a closet with a stove, sink and refrigerator in it!

Hi Jim ~~ I hope that Lois had a Happy Birthday and I agree she looks like you. Same smile and happy face.
Thanks for leaving a comment.
Have a look under your bed to check for dust. Take care, Regards, Merle.
