Eight things to do in London things 02 — MidWeek Blues — French toast and English bacon

.
This is the London view we see in the morning from Karen and Billy's living room window . We are enjoying our visit with them but soon it will end. Our salt mines are calling.

The bus is the one we caught to go down to Gymboree a couple of posts ago. Most places we go to are within walking distance. The ones you see here today all are.

The first is a little neighborhood playground that KP loves. She probably likes the swings the best but she also likes to climb up on the slide and then slide down. Here she is sitting in an animal seat.

Sunday we walked over to St. Marks Church on Hampton Road in St. Johns Wood. Before we got to the church there was a breakfast stop at Raoul's, a local cafe.

The walking "we" were Mrs. Jim, KP, and BP. Karen and I were there as well but we were taking pictures as you can see in the mirror.

This was Mrs. Jim's breakfast, French toast with English bacon. She had her usual coffee and then an orange slice was thrown in for good measure. I had the corn beef hash with an egg and toast with water to drink. The others all had either French toast by itself, no bacon.

Oh yes, before we could leave KP had to take care of a phone call. She loves to push buttons and play phone. This one of Karen's is real.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo picture on the right. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did.

Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE or BLUE THOUGHT, you don't have to write.

I do think that the bacon and toast breakfast picture here sneaked in somehow.

KP's dress is simply smashing. Why do I like your red brick buildings so much? I think it is the height, the white trim, the steep roofs.

It is dinner time here in Oregon, USA, but now I have a terrible urge for French toast and bacon, or maybe hash. It is all your fault.

Oh, sweet, Jim! You have a lovely family and it's clear you're having a wonderful time visiting your daughter and her family in London. Your little granddaughter is adorable.

Wow, that kid is growing fast.

Hope loves the phone too!!
she has a bunch of play phones but always wants the real one

KP is growing so fast

hugs to all

Hey Jim,
Just wanted to tell you that the book review I mentioned that I thought you would be interested in because of the setting will post tomorrow morning just before Flasback Friday.

Hi Jim ~~ Another good post from London. My father used to drive those type of double-decker buses
in Melbourne during World War 2,
Thank you so much for your comments about my procedure. I am so relieved
that is over and feel a lot mor energetic. There was no medicine changes. I was dreading that, so had a lot to do with how I felt.
Thanks again, Jim, and for the joke.
Take care, Regards, Merle.
