.
Sara sat dreamily on the bench at her stop.

Ride up to see her fellow? Boule with the gang? Could read?

Antibes in winter isn't like Iowa.

Notes:
1. Antibes is about 20 km, or a 24 minutes drive, down the coast from Nice, France. It is a very pleasant and fun place. Mrs. Jim and I spent a night there in the mid-1990's. (link 1, Google map)(link 2, Google ideas)(link 3, Wikipedia)
2. Boule is a game played with the idea of getting your large heavy metal balls as close to the 'jack' as possible and keeping your oponnent's as far away as you can knock them. (Wikipedia article) We try to play every time we go to France. Our introduction was in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, 2006, watching a group of older men playing Boule.

It certainly isn't :-)
Nice one.

Looks like Iowa's mild winter isn't all that bad, either!

:)

Winter? She can sit on a park bench in winter?

I really like this one as it was a history lesson for me as well as your weekly meme. Very well done as always.

Have a terrific day. :)

Antibes sounds as pleasant as Hawaii in the winter time! And boule sounds somewhat similar to lawn bowling, which I did for the first time with friends last spring. Nice one, Jim.

Well done. I like the last line a lot. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope your issues around commenting don't go on too long.

Your this week's SY entry was like diving head first into Oh, the Places You'll Go!! Thank you for all the wonderful links that took me on a virtual trip to the sights you and the Mrs. shared together. I had a ball! <--Er, perhaps I should say, I had a boule? LOL!

You certainly have me dreaming of sitting on a bench in Antibes. I enjoyed the story (wonderful last line) as well as all the great links. You certainly contributed to my education today.

Loved the facts about Antibe.. and the dream she has.. Even being in California, would always love to go here..

We loved the Mediterranean coast of France.
Nice about Nice and Antibes, Jim.
